Smiley Statues

Inspired by Devlin who was inspired by Whirl who was inspired by Gosha

Literally blocks that look like Smileys turned into Statues.

I changed them a bit like, put wizard's beard in front of foundation etc.

I am not an expert artist, so this could be done better of course, but I wanted to give you an example of how it might look like!

This is just an idea, but there can come many different suggestions with it.

For example: it could be used to award future smiley contest winners with their respective winning smiley as statue, or keep only medieval ones like Knight and Angel, or only basic-emotions ones etc., or only superman smiley that is given to future staff. Depending on what EE staff will be up to.

I am not restricting how these statues should implemented into game, I am just showing out the concept

You put a grayscale filter on the image and pasted a misplaced trophy stand over top of them.

Omfg stop

you don't need to post twice just to repeat yourself. I am not defending my pic because I know it's bad, but you could at least give some useful suggestion and explanation instead

and if you want to discuss the difference between game suggestion and graphical suggestion do it in debates, not here just for the sake of spamming random bs

I was confused first of all how this was inspired by something I said but then I re-read my comment and found I actually wrote something constructive in the mix of all the statue related puns I made.

And yeah, this is basically what I was on about so ofc I support this idea.

Err that'd probably look extremely ugly (or at least if I was to make it). That's why I suggested only a few that are already 16x16, e.g superman.

It isn't misplaced, it's 16 pixels wide with symmetric ends. The only thing misplaced might be light reflection which you didn't mention..

Thats how it's supposed to be, as otherwise 1) it wouldn't look very sturdy, and 2) it wouldn't fit in a single block unless you shrink the smileys, which would look terrible

Thats how it's supposed to be, as otherwise 1) it wouldn't look very sturdy, and 2) it wouldn't fit in a single block unless you shrink the smileys, which would look terrible

Actually shrinking them isnt a half bad idea!

Maybe instead of having smiley trophies for ALL of the damn smileys, just have it for the basic smileys that way a 75% sized scale of them would be an optimal fit for a said statue for everybody edits.

What are you two even talking about, the stand does not cover facial details of basic smileys, only bottom part of their body. For and similar it does not actually cover their mouth/tongue, they're just touching

If you're talking about layers then definitely nope, but you're probably talking about positions;

1) It would make them larger than 16x16 (I'm talking about basic ones), which I suppose is pretty bad as statues are blocks and blocks have maximum of 16x16
2) Smileys are ball shape. I've never seen something ball shaped being statue but connecting bottom-most part of the ball would make ball easily unlinkable, right? So ball needs to be more submerged into stand to stay static.

Perhaps making the stand only 2 px would be good? (it's 3 px rn)
