to put it in a membership would be like the mods declaring that they support it as well. And we all know that people in positions of power cannot have opinions or take stances.
To avoid offending anyone, people in authority positions must always remain lukewarm, only get 'fired up' about strategic (COUGHCOUGHHILLARYCLINTONAHEM) issues that matter to the majority, and tip toe around actually pressing matters.
