Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Stubby's Block Graphics (Update JUN-20)

OReXTLG.png
I'm back to making graphics. It's been a while, and I really want to get back into it like I used to. So here they are, all brand new.

I'll try to add packs daily. Suggestions would be very helpful, because I am short on ideas. Hope you like them!

FUTURISTIC (JUN-20-15)
1BDnNvQ.png
Glowing blocks and one-ways for sci-fi worlds!

STONE (JUN-19-15)
1sbPHaf.png
Six unique rock blocks!

WOODEN (JUN-18-15)
hoCbeqs.png
Seven shades of wooden tiles.

CARPET (JUN-16-15)
mgO5E46.png V3
Seven carpets for making homes sweet homes.

V1 - V2

HAZARDS (JUN-15-15)
GmuYBVQ.gif V2
Sharp bamboo, broken glass, spiky vines, electric wire, and sizzling acid!

V1 (Still)

ROADWORK (JUN-14-15)
JupgJvm.png
Two road types, a manhole one-way, and some traffic cones.

EDGED (JUN-14-15)
zK3yPNT.png
An extra colored block pack, for all your colored block needs.

Constructive criticism is welcome, I can only improve!

Re: Stubby's Block Graphics (Update JUN-20)

For a second I confused you with grilyon2, for making way too much topics with all his graphics in Graphics suggestions.

Anyways, I think you could make it a little more "professional".

This is a false statement.

I hope you're allowed to rotate the road blocks.

Shouldn't the dashes for the road be in the middle?

it's a 2d game. the only possible "intersections" involve a solid road going up into the sky with another road behind and in front of it and a road extending into the earth.

Oh! I was looking at the road from a bird's eye point of view. Well I mean it could work in bird's eye POV or from uh the perspective you are looking at - from the side.

It would look like "+" but you could try your best to make it 3d.

Re: Stubby's Block Graphics (Update JUN-20)

For the record, the roads are meant to be 2D, not bird's eye view. Anyways, here's a new pack!

HAZARDS
WuvxiM6.png
Sharp bamboo, broken glass, spiky vines, barbed wire, and sizzling acid!

Nice idea, if you can die in broken glass and spiky vines, then you must die falling high height.

The acid should be animated.
Maybe have it bubble or something. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Time for another pack! This one isn't my best, but it looks alright.

I would love to do that, but I am inexperienced with animated blocks. I'll look into it.

Looks nice, but that "stitch" thingy around the edge looks weird.

Now that I look at it, it wouldn't look good in large amounts. How's this?

Re: Stubby's Block Graphics (Update JUN-20)

Carpet looks great now. Though I don't think that barbed wire should be sparkly/electrified/whateverthatis. Also, for some of them, such as the broken glass, don't make them constantly moving, if that makes sense. For the broken  glass, make it sparkle every so often, sort of how the swamp decor in EE only bubbles every so often.

Thanks! I decided to electrify it so it can stand out easily from other blocks (namely decorations). If it wasn't animated, I would imagine it'd be difficult to spot around lots of other blocks.

The concept of glass shards and prickly vines instantly killing you sounds kind of off to me.

But it doesn't make sense to die as soon as you touch a spike.

You're right, neither die as soon as you touch a fire. If you touch the spike, you won't be able to move until you die after hours of blood loss. If you touch the fire, you will be burned in few minutes, but before, you can move while being burned alive.

Not even, if you simply touch a spike, it might poke a TINY hole that will barely bleed, not even. If you touch a fire, your finger will be burned, but not on fire.

This isn't your finger that's being burned/poked, it's your HEAD.
