Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

My first Smiley! (and many more to hopefully come!)

I made my first smiley! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

I made a German Flag smiley after seeing Kingpooultra's Canada Day smiley!

so here it is! (sorry if the eyes and smile are weird... it was my first smiley)

Ah, good quality.
But I guess German smiley must be typical, I mean, look at my avatar. It's typical Russian (as all other world thinks)
For example, with sausage and beer //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Nice but here are some tips, try making the shading a bit better.
Also, putting colors that "blend in with the smiley's color" is a good idea.
