Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Time for more mods?

I've seen [and reported] so many... unusual images today. Unfortunately, during both raids, no mods were on to cover the childrens' eyes. Doesn't this mean we need some more mods?

Discuss. And perhaps mingle.

Or, like i said in another topic, some mods that have different time zones.

we need mini mods, some to ban and some to lock / delete topics.

Re: Time for more mods?

1) When you signed up you said you were 13 or older, so we cannot be held responsible for anything.

2) The solution is not to have more mods, but to spread out what time they are online. Instead of adding more people from wherever, be more organized. Give each 'official' a certain time window were they must be online. This way, there is always someone online, comfortably.

3) Going on a mass-mod-recruit could be the thing that digs your own grave. All it takes is one person with the tiniest ounce of evil to delete users, delete all the topics, and remove some very important things.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Mini Mods sound cool.

I was thinking maybe only one mod that covers the gap.

I agree, A single mod who's active while others are asleep is good enough.

Re: Time for more mods?

Rurigok offered me a night shift mod position.

I turned him down, mainly because I'm not nocturnal and I enjoy sleeping.

I'm awake pretty late sometimes, especially now that school's out.

Re: Time for more mods?

Since I live in Australia I only see mods in the morning mostly now :\
Yeah we need more mods in different timezones.

EDIT: Does this mean all mods a mostly asleep during the day here?

Your morning is America's evening. I think a lot of the mods are in America, so yes.

I could be a mod. I'm as active as possible and I keep my account logged in 24/7.

Re: Time for more mods?

Keeping your account logged on really has nothing to do with it. Having judgment skills and common sense does.

Re: Time for more mods?

Chimi: You're right. While we registered, we've set a time zone. I think there should be 1 mod per 2 time zones, so we always have someone online.

Okay, this has turned into an asking for mod privileges topic. Nuff.

It was just a joke, but I agree there should be more/more organised mods.

Re: Time for more mods?

Mods/Admins should show their timezones... then we could decide about the mods. We need more international mods.

It's not really our decision, is it?

Re: Time for more mods?

personally, i think the way mods are picked is really unorganized. if we are going to have another mod election, here is my idea on how to do it. the current mods will look at different users and see if they would be a good moderator. they pick about 6 or 7 people as possible mods and us users could have a real election where we vote on which one we think would be the best.

Re: Time for more mods?

What needs to happen is we switch from "we need mods, this person would be a good mod, congratz, you're now a mod!" mode to "We need new mods in this timezone. This person is in this timezone and would be a good mod, but so are these people. We'll decide on the best one. Congratz, you're now a mod!" mode. The way they do it now is the first way (with some internal voting), obviously. The funny thing is, I see periods where there are no mods on all the time, morning (12PM-2PM) and evening (10PM-12AM), but we do need another mod. Not too many, but just one, in the right time zone.

Re: Time for more mods?

Maybe timezones aren't really as much of an issue as when the people are online. I'm a night owl, and I could prolly do the job of someone who isn't, and who is in a different tz.

Re: Time for more mods?

2 raids in one day. Could be a precursor to something bigger. I remember something about a threat. Someone posting a topic about a giant forum raid with a hundred accounts. For safety reasons, I think we should appoint a new mod soon.
