The Santa smiley isn't and won't be a campaign reward for the Advent Calendar campaign. To quote Mega Lamb:

Name a game or company that refunds you something you've bought just before it goes on sale, gets some kind of promotion, or gets handed out as a reward.
There is none, because it's a dumb business model and complicated to manage. Why should EE refund gems?
