Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Even with that, and i7 seems over the top. I have an i5 and everything renders in great time.
I've tried with some low end graphics cards and it didn't work out too well.
If you decide to make a superjump or noclip one then don't use it in campaign. I think you can in others worlds.

If gaming, what games? What FPS at what settings would you like?: LoL, EE nothing more 'intense'
Laptop or Desktop?: An 15" or bigger laptopI just wonder what will suit me, at the lowest price(and use it at least 5 years)
This one would be great for the task at $1,499 but if you want cheaper then I would go with this .
Both of these would do the task. The Asus N550JK-DB74T would do great in image editing and video editing due to the GPU. It would also run programming programs like Dreamweaver or C# and many others. The Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga will also do the job but a little bit under performance than the Asus. The Lenovo is slim and can be easily tranported if you travel a lot. It's also touchscreen which would be great if you like to draw when image editing.
Don't get too carried away, he doesn't need an i7 gaming laptop when the most intensive thing he's going to be doing is playing EE with some rare light video editing. A nice i3 just using integrated graphics should be plenty.

This has already been suggested.

How we can trust you that the computer will really be working perfectly fine? Can you show us one of yours works?
I do a lot of research before suggesting a part list or PC. I see benchmarks, ask people and my friends, and I sometimes goto my local Electronics Store and see if they'll let me test some parts. I can show you my main gaming build once I get a new phone because my camera broke. Will be around christmas.

Does a lap count as a battlestation?
Here are some of the specs of the laptop anyway:
Toshiba Satellite
Intel Core i3-3110M
4 GB ram
Windows 8.1 (it won't let me upgrade due to a windows file being corrupt)
455 GB HDDI also recently got a desktop for $25 (this includes a keyboard and mouse), I don't want look up all the info about it right now, but I remember some of it
intel pentium dual-core
2 GB ram (I think ddr2)
160 GB HDD
Currently running ubuntu 32-bit on it. Used to run windows xp.
Monitor: Some junky one that I took from a pretty old set up that doesn't work anymore
I can't remember much more on it, will update when I have motivation to turn it on.
Currently not connected to internet, so it's kind of just a $25 brick right now, not much I can do with it.I don't play games much either (besides ee), but my laptop is able to handle most programs I run on it.
Looks like you won't be playing any games other than flash.

What kind of problems? Can't say I've noticed any except a huge stuttering issue on the Dying Light demo. Dying Light had a memory leak problem that sent the VRAM usage just over the 3.5GB mark, but thankfully they've patched that now.
I kept getting a black screen when trying to play Crysis 3. Everything was up to date and plugged in. Once I switched to the MSI one everything was great.
I don't really go on this game anymore. It's my dad. I play lots of other games.

CPU - Intel Core i7 4790K
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard - ASRock Z97 Pro4
RAM - Unbranded 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
HDD - some Western Digital 1TB drive
HDD2 - some 250GB drive I pulled out of the dead computer my monitor's sitting on top of.
GPU - ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 970
Power supply - some loud refurbished Corsair 500W power supply.
Case - Thermaltake Commander MS-I Snow Edition
I have a dual monitor setup with a 1680x1050 display and a CRT monitor I've had since ~2002.Before this, I had been using the dead HP computer that my monitor's sitting on top of now. I got it on Craigslist for $40. It had a Pentium 4 @ 3.2GHz w/ 1GB DDR RAM and a GTX 610 graphics card, and was the fastest computer I had ever owned up until that point. Once I started getting into blender more, I got tired of hijacking every computer in the house to use as part of a super weak render farm so I built a PC for the first time and it's turned out pretty well.
Sweet build except for that graphics card. I had that one but I had to switch to the MSI one. Too many problems with Asus.

Also let us know what games you play and what games your PC Can run at what settings or what you usually do!
My pc runs all games (except Crysis 3 and a few others) at 60fps with High-Ultra max settings. I usually play Battlefield, Rainbow 6, and Fallout 4. When I'm not gaming I like to browse these forums or go on 4chan and check out /b/, /g/, and /x/
your mom
i have lots of YLYL pictures on my pc and phone from 4chan "ylyl" threads but i dont think they would be appropriate here ;-
you can use bluestacks. it's like android but on pc! you can do anything u can on an android phone. i use it to play clash of clan. http://www.bluestacks.com/download.html
yes, we were all within the same facility
well, my friends don't exist, so i wouldn't say they are okay tbh
;-;i f yo need a friend to talk to then you can talk to me! i dont have friends irl either that why im online everyday. we could talk and be friends!
Ontopic: good job america. five days... FIVE DAYS without a mass shooting. some suspects been found. one white supremist. let see how long until another mass shooting. i give it 7 days
i just saw a new dumb thread!
so many shootings in usa. nothing much here in germany.
ya that would be good idea becus then you be like "woa what push me?" and become good for new types of levels!
well there are sum good people and bad. like some lower member like five night freddy rpg esp hotel is kind cringey and weird but some middle people cool but pro are stuck up and think they are all that and dont talk to other people only pros and mods and i also see sometime mod dont care and are jerk like that cj thing with amds and i saw cj give someone bad name super___Nub or something like that but some people need to chill so there are good humble people and bad people in ee and i like the friendly ones that talk and give attenshin to everyone and be nice to everyone and not act like they are the best in the game and are better than everyone becaus in reality you are not the best we should be all equal some people may not have the skill to be "good" or "pro" but some people are nice and humble and if that is the case then "skill" should not matter. personanilty over skill in my opinion so yes some pros goood and nice others not.
ofc music but music with good lyrics = best song evar <3
i like metallica songs an stuff
