Looking to build/buy a PC? On a budget? I CAN HELP!

Now I've been building PCs for about 3 years. My dad taught me all I know. I've helped people build their dream PC for gaming or just for work.

What Will You Be Doing? (Gaming,Work,Video editing, etc.): Programming, Image editing, some video editing(once a year short clips) I will also run virtual machines almost every week.
If gaming, what games? What FPS at what settings would you like?: LoL, EE nothing more 'intense'
Laptop or Desktop?: An 15" or bigger laptop

I just wonder what will suit me, at the lowest price(and use it at least 5 years)

How we can trust you that the computer will really be working perfectly fine? Can you show us one of yours works?

This one would be great for the task at $1,499 but if you want cheaper then I would go with this .

Both of these would do the task. The Asus N550JK-DB74T would do great in image editing and video editing due to the GPU. It would also run programming programs like Dreamweaver or C# and many others. The Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga will also do the job but a little bit under performance than the Asus. The Lenovo is slim and can be easily tranported if you travel a lot. It's also touchscreen which would be great if you like to draw when image editing.

I do a lot of research before suggesting a part list or PC. I see benchmarks, ask people and my friends, and I sometimes goto my local Electronics Store and see if they'll let me test some parts. I can show you my main gaming build once I get a new phone because my camera broke. Will be around christmas.

Don't get too carried away, he doesn't need an i7 gaming laptop when the most intensive thing he's going to be doing is playing EE with some rare light video editing. A nice i3 just using integrated graphics should be plenty.

It is ideal for 3D Graphics rending if you do that with image editing. If you use photoshop and don't have too good specs it can take forever to render stuff. It takes like 6 minutes to add gradient with just integrated intel graphics. If you are jut doing regular image editing and minor video editing then yes, an i3 would be ideal.
