on the other hand classic hard to obtain blocks make the life tough for noobs and they discourage new players from building (or from playing ee at all) "ugh man theres so many blocks that you have to pay for to obtain, **** this game". but theres really not that many new players now anyway so idk. i think it'd be better to make classics available for energy after the UnitEE update (as in never) or steam release, whenever we will have a bigger inflow of new players

tl;dr: sooner or later it will have to be done to help this game get more players but i do not insist on doing it now

Remember Infinity update? Everybody Was like: "No i spent so many energy on limited blocks! And now everyone has infinity blocks, i wasted my energy!!111!!" but now Everyone is great. Infinity update gave people more ideas to do.
i think same thing with classic blocks. Give it to people and you'll get more ideas and worlds

well sinking energy into coin doors because you have nothing better to do is one thing
spending gems/playing since 2010-2011 to have classics is another thing
i still said it will have to be done whatsoever

Everybody edits to need to make money to survive and thus add packs in the store, I think. Unless the directors volunteer work, We should ask if you don't know

They should not release all packages at the same time. Holding some back is ok. But at the moment they are just stocking the classic tab with a lot of things.

man, why not? it seems pointless to have them be gem-only.

although if we're going to complain about how the veterans or whatever ~need muh items for muh elitism~ then make only the blocks purchasable with energy, and let the smileys be classic since they have no real impact on the game.

so, yeah, i think seasonal is a nice compromise -- they're not available constantly and people have the opportunity to get them without shelling out forty dollars to get them all.

also fun math facts because... i wanted to

21 classic blocks
93 classic decos
400 gems

= 28.5 cents/singular item

therefore...
four blocks = 1 crunchy taco at taco bell. do u want food or do u want 64x64 pixels.

also

233 decos in total. 93 classic ones.
39% of decos are classic

so yeah it's not like it's just a few items when it's a fairly big amount

I support. EE is a sandbox game, where you build anything you want, expand your imagination, share your creation. Limiting what the player has basically sucks, especially for new players.

Edit: I do support classic becoming much more affordable, I have paid a total of 25 gems for classic items but own it all; I don't think anyone should have to spend more to unlock half of the game.

Why dont any of you bring up that the classic items prices were discounted. After nou became new mod. Some people bought the classic packs while they were expensive and other when the price went down.

Also why don't you make beta free while your at it because it has blocks and smileys that you can only buy with gems like classic packs.

I like N1KF's idea too, I think that should be done. It should be like the campaign smileys, they'll come back next year! If it happens I really want my gems to be given back tho ;-;

Make the classics not visible at all. Solves the problems of new players "seeing" all those blocks they are missing out on. Also veterans will keep their limited packs. Afterwards make it possible to gain some of the packs by completing campaigns instead. The only reason to keep the "classics" tab is for economic reasons, since it's only purchasable with gems. I don't know how much money is gained from people using gems on classics pack anyway, is it really all that profitable?

The way I see it, classic is mostly decorations. And decorations to me are incredibly optional and often unnecessary. I'm all for releasing the solid blocks out to the public since those are actually useful for minimap colours, but for MY elitism I want to keep my decos.

One difference, limited blocks actually had functions while classic blocks are just retextures
