I remember back awhile ago I was a noob. Then TP told me I was a noob. Then I became less of a noob. So I am thankful for TP calling me a noob. So feel free to keep calling people noobs, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think these people realize anarchy is one of the things that makes the internet the internet. People aren't just going to be nice to each other, in fact most people on the web get off on dissing other people. We call these people trolls because we are allowing them to diss us, and therefore they win.

This. Also it's human nature to want to be better than everyone, so people use the terms "noob" and "pro" to try to claim their superiority. It's not something you can change with one meaningful post on some forum.

Labels weren't made to make fun of people, they were made to identify people with ease. Sure, some may be offensive, but so are their meanings. I'd rather say "noob" than "that immature child who is not good at level making".

Same goes for 'pro'.
