Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Since woot system is a total failure, do you have any alternative to it?
I thought about a system where you can give a level from 1 to 5 stars and then in the lobby it shows the total score like
Player 1 rates 5
Player 2 rates 5 too
5+5 = 10/Total of votes (in this case 2) = 5
And boom, in the lobby it would show 5 stars.
To prevent the abuse it should be as max 2 votes per IP and 1 per account. Also, user would be always allowed to edit the rating.

Yeah, but I'm not going to vote if it's more effort than 1 click.

I'd say stick with the woot system, but maybe not in this shape or form. The issue with rating is that, sorry to say, most people don't know what's good and bad. If someone can't beat a level because he sucks, he'll rate it 1/5 without any rationale behind it. The same goes for a boring, repetitive minigame level, some nub may give it 5/5 because omg he beat it! People generally, and the EE audience in particular, don't think about their decisions when it comes to rating; they won't be balanced reviews but rather a spur-of-the-moment thought translated into a click.
Check out IMDB for example, look up your favourite movie, and look at the negative reviews. Mostly no explanation, just 1/10 because of...well no reason.
Another reason I'm against it is the begging for good reviews will become even worse than people begging for woots right now.
I'd say rework the woot system, like renaming it to "likes" for example, and implementing the ability to "favourite" some maps, and display this.

You know you can buy reviews, right? Companies do that all the time. Another reason why the rating system is often flawed.

Disliking shouldn't be allowed

There are people that would use lots of accounts to rate 0,5/5 stars with all his accounts to ruin someone´s world...
My nickname in-game is Supermariobros20. I have played EE for 4 years! I love creating Super Mario worlds!

Just delete the system already to how it was >.<

Why not? Are we not aloud to not like levels...?

What's the difference between disliking something and rating it one star?

Problem with woots is that you can't really say how much you liked it.
Either you enjoyed it enough to be in your top 10 for the day - woot, or you don't - don't woot.
If someone makes a good level but isn't liked - then it will be likely people will give 1 star, with the woot system - people just won't woot. The woot system isn't damaging and can't be used to bully others. If this game really is aimed at kids then there should not be any form of disliking - unless this game isn't aimed at kids then the chat censor should be removed.

YouTube worked really well with a stars system. It would be a good reward to good level makers.

What would you suggest as alternative to woot system.

Youtube is less personal than YouTube and voting is anonymous, not like you can dislike someone's video and then come across them day after day

Make EE votes anonymous then.

For a game that is apparently aimed at kids there should only be positive voting, like on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
