Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hi in the last few weeks I have not been playing ee much and I'm sick of all the crapy updates I will leave ee but can I sell my account for irl cash? I could do this using PayPal so no cons would be made and I would give the person the password to my account as it has 500+Enugu on I think I could sell it
What do you think?
~littleowl
Why don't we just hack or make a new one
My account is worth approx $1000.
Legally you can't sell your account, I found out you can't sell an account from when I attempted to sell my runescape account. It's not yours to sell.
Thank you eleizibeth ^

I'll start the bidding at -5 dollars
Bad idea.
But, its illegal because you still use your email. You can rechange your password and totally rip someone off, like the poster above proved.

How is that illegally?
It's the buyers own fault. The buyer has to ask for both his everybodyedits password and email access.
He stated clearly, but I will rephrase:
The seller can change the password of the account, after the transaction.
Thus 'scamming' the buyer.
It is illegal to sell your account because it is property of Chris Benjaminsen, you don't own your account.

Not really.
Pros:
1-You make money off of a crappy game
2-You make money
3-You rip somebody off
4-Nobody will find out except you and the seller
5-Mods will not ban your account, because they never find outCons:
6-none
I've numbered your list.
This is forgetting that it is illegal:
1. You will make money, but you've put a lot of time into the game.
2. You mentioned that before
3. Well you're on you own there, I know that Little Owl wouldn't.
4. We all know about this happening.
5. I'm sure they will find out.
6. -Illegal
-Account could be cleared of it's worlds
-Little Owl may become a bad name in the world of EE, [trolling, spamming, hacking and such]
-He won't be able to return to EE

I totally agree. This is going to be locked as soon as a mod sees this.

That would be the case, if a topic was not made about it.

If you want a good account, just make one with the cost of 1 cent for chat. And how ever much beta costs right now. For the people who said 100 dollars, I hope you were kidding.
Forget the legality for a moment. I don't even know if it's illegal, but Chris has the discretion to ban accounts for any given reason. You don't own your account. The selling of accounts happens all the time in games, legal or not. But this in much larger games, games that attract the kind of playerbase that will pay real money for the best items. MMOs. EE has a much smaller playerbase, and the playerbase it attracts is mostly young kids who don't have a PayPal other than their parents'.
Oh, and then there's scamming. First of all, since you're not even supposed to be selling your account, it's not like if you get scammed you can go e-mail Chris about how you got scammed while doing something you're not even allowed to do. This even makes using a middleman risky, because you're going to have to keep your mouth shut even if the middleman runs off with the buyer's money and the seller's account details. Remember, you're going to have to sell the e-mail details along with the account details, to ensure you don't just change the password.
For the record, I'm not endorsing the selling of accounts. I'm just informing you and any potential buyer of the risks.
So:
- you're probably going to get scammed
- if you ask the buyer to go first, if he's in his right mind, he'll refuse
- in the case that a middleman is used, there's still a a high risk to get scammed
- the above risks still exist even if no one but you and the buyer know about the transaction
- there's no market for EE accounts, therefore EE accounts are virtually worthless

So much wrong with this. If you sell your account, you're probably going against the law & I would rather earn my stuff with Energy. And then there's the VERY high probability of being scammed by both. If the buyer was smart (Which if he was buying EE accounts with money, probably isn't) then that person would want more details than just the account, as Supa mentioned, the emails password too.
Then, if I was wanting premium things like Diamonds/Big Spender/Classic items I would never buy an account for them. Much rather pay Chris himself for Gems.
Chat is only a single penny aswell.
Every cat in the world disapproves of this.
If you want some advice about your account, just leave it until you feel like coming back and just spending your energy in the shop for 2 minutes a day

The best statement before.
Selling account is illegal, because, as Squad said, it's not yours to sell. You don't own the account, it's part of EE. Only Chris can sell accounts, but that would make everyone who plays the game leave. I think this should be locked now..
