I personally think that the guest bomb bot should be somehow unable for people to use. With the guest bomb bot, anyone with a terrible level can get 10k+ plays for a garbage level, just from people going into the level. Without it, the only levels that would be on top would be the ones that deserve to be on top.
This is only my third post on this board so im not sure how you guys think of guest bomb. This discussion is meant for you to share your views on the guest bomb bot and to defend your topic. Thanks!

Yes, but they count as players. Would you rather join the level with 35 players or one player? and which are you more likely to see in the lobby? I think they just shouldn't count for plays or players. :/

That would be great! Please keep working on that The problem is though, I don't want to hurt guests because of what irritating people do. Maybe something to detect guests that all come from the same IP. Thanks for working on that though! Please keep us posted on the bot

You're implying that just deploying a shizzload of guests to a room will crash it. This isn't going to work, I bet.
The reality is, if Chris doesn't count guests, and let's say there's 35 guests in the room, a majority of them are playing,
it won't count the Guests, meaning infinite Guests in the world, possibly crashing lots due to lots of movement data.
That also means that if lots of guests are in a world, the world would be full at liek 10 people.
the reason there is a limit is because rooms can only handle so much data transfer before crashing.

Using a ton of guests to try to overflow a room with data using socket connections with no real ability to stockup data (as far as I'm concerned) is an idiotic procedure, and it would only work if yo built a tiny botnet and had them all join a r room and send massive amounts of moving. This is tedious for something so simple.
And yes, it's possible to autocrash worlds, I bet I could easily find a loophole, however
I'm against crashing innocent worlds, and just because a world is guest bombed doesn't mean that it is a crime.

I get it if people with good worlds want to share them with people, and I thank them for that. However, its the useless garbage worlds that have 5k plays that really irk me.

It's no longer a problem, and as far as I know, having a high play count doesn't give any rewards. =P

Where are you getting this from? I've never said that anybody plans to crash worlds using tons of guests.

I see, all I was doing was fully explaining that whole segmentation of technique.
Either way, as I have explained, in order to crash a room you need to overflow it with data.
As far as I see it, the worst combination would be coins and movement data.
In fact, I have before made a bot to crash rooms using a certain type of movement, I can't do it anymore though since I lost the code (programmed it in Flash).
Good luck trying to replicate it, however, I believe I tried a second time and failed.

Thats the huge problem, I enter levels with 20k plays and im like meh, but then I enter some with 200 plays and they deserve at least 30k. Guest bomb seems to ruin some deserving levels

My friend bombed that for me actually. Im deleting it and starting a better one sometime this week.
I sort of agree. Only ones who should use it are mods who can make it unable to use like make it patched. So I agree. I have a link to one, want it to show a mod like e-mail him the link?

Just make it so there can't be more than 5 or so guests in a level and no guests with the same IP. Problem solved.
