Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Among all of the EE advertisements and popular sites and such, this logo has always been shown at some point. I'm starting to get the feeling that it means something, and I think it is a planet. The main reasons of why I think it is a planet is because of the spherical design, along with the gas rings, much like those of Saturn. My theory is that this is a planet in some galaxy, and it is the world of Everybody Edits. Now, although at first you see that it is covered with blocks and smilies along the surface, it could possibly be like Earth which is just how it looks from afar. As for the smilies and cursors coming out, that could be just parts of the planet itself which look like that, but are really just other parts of it which were disconnected but are trapped in the atmosphere of the rings. As for a name of it, I have named it "Editria". (Eh-di-tree-uh) However, if the name doesn't strike you as fair, then you can feel free to have your version of the name.
As for traveling out of this planet, I don't think it will be possible, mainly because of the gassy rings preventing it, and even if we got past those, we would be leaving the game, and we wouldn't be playing Everybody Edits anymore since we would be out of it's atmosphere. In some advertisements, I have not seen the floating cursors and smilies, this could be because of different moderators who do and don't consider it part of the planet. Editria rotates, which gives it another characteristic as a planet, although there has been no evidence of it orbiting anything else.
How the picture was taken is a mystery, my only guess is that the moderators are hiding some form of technology which allows them to leave the planet, they just do not want it to fall into the hands of the community of EE players, as they might wreck havoc with such a device.
We probably won't learn that much more about this though, so it shouldn't change your view that much on the game itself.
Congratulations, it only took you several months for you to realize the very obvious fact that the logo, is indeed, shaped like a planet.

Okay then, I guess that this thread is useless now, so I'll just go ahead and delete it even after all that work.
I'm not sure, but observations of the atmosphere of this planet has revealed small concentrations of organic molecules. This planet could be home to alien life.

If there is alien life, do you think that it would be extra-terrestrial smilies that have not been seen, or a completely different creature?
Something unknown to science, but something that we would be able to understand. NASA needs to hear this news.
I say we conquer and strip the land of the resources! Earth FTW!
It appears that these "aliens" are able to make new resources anyways, no matter how many we take away. Why not enslave them and exploit them for monetary gain?

Indeed, it has. It's a favorite.

My thoughts precisely, although it does appear to look like a neutron at further glances.

I think it's a whole other world by itself. The internet has given us the limitless freedom of opportunity to explore those vast regions.
As for the smilies and cursors coming out, that could be just parts of the planet itself which look like that, but are really just other parts of it which were disconnected but are trapped in the atmosphere of the rings.
The smiliers are obviously its inhabitants, and the cursors are frequent natural disasters similiar to what we call "lightning".
As for a name of it, I have named it "Editria". (Eh-di-tree-uh) However, if the name doesn't strike you as fair, then you can feel free to have your version of the name.
I like "tsyilgaw9IP78" better, but opinions are opinions.

It's called "hacking", my dear Watson.

They don't consider them inhabitants and natural disasters.

The answer to your pondering note is the World Wide Web (Get it? WORLD? My humor's wasted...)

It's fairly easy to send satellites into orbit.
We probably won't learn that much more about this though, so it shouldn't change your view that much on the game itself.
No, it has. I now see Everybody Edits with an actual, meaningful purpose that is so squandered by the vastly changing rules and dynamics of its cruel games. We must free ourselves from it's dark clutches it intends to mindlessly slay us with. GO PORTUGAL 2014! Woot woot!

They can't be it's inhabitants, they're way too big.

I meant from getting a picture from the view of their own planet, but the satellite would be crushed by the gas rings. However if you mean from Earth's point of view, I can understand, however, I thought it was in a whole other world by itself.
There also appears to be a race of religious plant pot golems.
ooohh a role playing topic, fun!
If this planet has gods, it is probably either mods or MFL/MIHB/Mustang. They are probably the gods of this planet but other players might have their own religion or even a single god such as Chris or MrShoe, etc. Different for everyone.
I am excited to see what others have to say about this planet.

Maybe this planet is far more advanced than earth! Just think, the things on the planet (if any), have figured out how to make one way platforms, and portals!
Who knows what else we could find if we traveled there!

Don't you guys get it? This planet is where we all play and live in EE. Every world is just a small section of the planet.
Prepare to hear more information, as we at YYIndustries are investigating.

Again, I am ninety nine percent sure that us humans have superior intellect and technology. Therefore, screw research. Lets get right to the exploitation. I'm sure people will pay big for those blue and green eggs, the more money the better.

How do you know of such religious figures of another planet? o.O Everyone: *gasp* DUN DUN DUN

It all makes sense now. :O This is how the BJSPPS's do what they do.

Did you got the name Editria from Equestria?

I honestly think that planet exists. Far away in space, some smileys are doing random stuff, such as placing blocks and doing some minis. But what we appreciate the most is the incredibly beautiful art provided by those alien-like smileys. They are even better than some of the best artists on Earth! As for the plants and animals, you just have to put blocks to make them live. Green blocks for plants, grey/brown/black blocks for animals. Also, we could imagine how the smileys live. Are they drinking some water, like us? Or do they drink swamp-like water? And do they ever sleep? Maybe they can get a little bit of rest when they go afk. As for the sports, they really like to compete in making minis and beating them, as well as integrating them in wonderful art. The winner gets to have a trophy and a crown, without forgetting the coins. As for the money system, they have gold coins and blue coins. Some smileys are more lucky, as they find magic in some gold coins. Blue coins can't contain magic, but it's still useful to collect them.
For politics, theres a king called MrShoe. A lot of smileys want a new king, as MrShoe ruined the kingdom 4 months ago. But the king doesn't want to leave, and his army is powerful. I don't think the smileys can win this endless war, but if they gather all the community, they might have a small chance to make the cruel king leave. However, if even one smiley is with MrShoe, his army will never abandon. As for reading, they have an interactive forum and a blog. That planet has already resisted 3 invasions of zombies, so I personally don't think a bunch of human noobs can conquer them. They just have to put some blocks around you, and you won't get a single chance of attacking. So conquering isn't an option.
Something that has interested me for some time is how they kept those letters suspended above their planet.
Using our brand new world portal technology, I deployed one in my house and set the destination to the EE Planet.
I found myself in an enclosed area, yet a large one at that. It looked to be a whole cubed mile! The most fascinating thing I found about this, is that there were no supports holding up the area. Yet another example of gravity defying phenomena happening on this planet.
After a brief walk I found a house occupied by a sleeping smiley. I tried preforming a hostile takeover of the house, by removing the supports, but the house remained suspended mid-air. The smiley who seemed to own the place noticed me defacing their property and jumped out of a window to get to me. I found this as silly, because I expected the smiley to end up suspended in space by the winder, but instead they fell to the ground, very close to me.
Instead of trying to physically attacking me, the smiley changed into an angry face and started repeating the word "Stop!" repeatedly to me. This has proven ineffective. I decided to have a snoop around the house, ignoring the chanting angry face.
I found myself a device sitting on a table, with large letters printed on it that read "GO TO LOBBY". I went to pick it up, and right as I touched it I found myself on the surface of the planet.
The ground was covered in trap doors, I'm assuming that lead to other large cubic rooms, that probably take up the entire innards of the planet.
There was an obvious curve that could be seen, which made me think of how the matter of this planet has formed to a sphere if no non-living matter obeys the laws of gravity. I came up with one possible conclusion.
The EE Planet is made up of dead smieys.

This world is made up of many, many, 2D blocks. The inhabitants of this world are , and the different smileys, such as , , , , , and many others, are the different smiley's attire. When someone using the World Wide Web creates a new account in the Earth-Version (known as te E-V) of this game, that new account is given to a baby smiley, however, since all smileys are the same size, the only difference is their attire and number of packs owned. All levels are part of the world that is "Editorila", however, there are certain parts allotted for different types of worlds. For example, every time a new world is bought, that world is part of the Saved-Level area, the largest, and open worlds are created in the Open-Level area, which has certain restrictions to block usage. "EditorliaLeaders" have a certain status that is higher than all others, and they have access to every single item. There are multiple shops in "Editorlia", and clicking on a new tab in the shop is a teleport to that certain shop. Players can improve their level by gaining "EditEXP", which is known as "Magic" in the Earth-Version. When you gain enough "EditEXP", you receive a new "EditoRank" (ed-i-tor-ank), known as "Magic Level" in the E-V, which increases your "MaxEditergy" ("Energy" In the E-V). If your E-V player buys "EditRubies" (Gems in E-V), you can use them as a different way to buy items in the shop. The shop is normally updated every week, of course, by the "EditorliaLeaders", normally with interesting items, however, some updates cause rage among the world of "Editorlia", and make some of the "Editors" (which control the players in "Editorlia" and live on Earth) quit. More and more people quit every week. However, this world is still a positive world. It has had its share of abuse. But they still survive. They still do. Truly.
