My....God.....

What happened to Everybody Edits? I come back after about 6 months and boom! This isn't even Everybody Edits anymore. In the real EE, you couldn't die, you couldn't use potions to change your movement or minimap colour. I don't get what you've done to this game, Chris, but I never, EVER, EVER wish to play this game anymore. I don't get what happened.

Wheres Beta? I payed 10 dollars for PERMANENT Beta Access, where did it go?

Can I get some answers, guys? I really don't know what happened to this game. But whatever did it's extremely disappointing. I understand Chris probably had some good intentions, but he probably should've thought it through more.

By the way, is this Builder's Club the new Beta Access?

Hey, long time no see! Yea, ee is kind of going into 'pay to play' scam mode now mostly. Beta is still here, but you don't get builders club obviously. I think if you buy builders club you get beta also, not sure.
EE bots have invaded. Everyone has one.
Pay to play.
I stil l find myself playing a little bit again, somehow I'm not as bothered by all this like everyone else, I mostly just ignore the new features.

Lemme sum things up for you.

1: Hazards are actually kindof cool, If you can get alot of them, and checkpoints.   It looks better than having death portals, and are actually really useful.
2. Potions, you kind of have to look at them a certain way to understand them.   Instead of having regular mini worlds, you can now make various arena-type of worlds, or whatever use you can come up with for the existing ones.   Think of potions as your game settings, and you can now change them.   Although, there needs to be a few more than the ones that are available, though.
3. You still have beta access, and keep your beta smileys and blocks forever.   You just can't buy it anymore.
4. Builders club is sort of the new beta, but not really.   If you have it, you can use every block that's ever come out, minus the diamond, and that trophy from the halloween contest.   You even have beta blocks, as long as you have builders club (you dont keep them once it expires).   Also, it gives you unlimited portals, coindoors/gates, timedoors/gates, switch doors/gates, zombiedoors/gates, spawnpoints, checkpoints, and hazards, which is pretty useful.

MrShoe took over EE and became smiley king while MrVoid wants McSmileys and Benjaminsen is sitting in his throne of blocks doing nothing about it so the Guests created a rebellion to take down MrShoe causing mass destruction as they invented spikes and fire to dispose of the admins. Meanwhile Benjaminsen becomes aware of how much chaos has been going on and makes the "Smiley Pandemonium" Shoeika Ibuki's power restriced to being and admin but he got executed and disposed of then smiley war come and John is revived and he starts trolling and takes over EE but the- I've gone too far sorry.

Well, I guess I get to keep my items. But all this class stuff isn't allowing me to have any smileys or whatever, it's frustrating. I personally dislike a lot of the new stuff in this game. It really doesn't feel like EE anymore.

Tips:

- Ignore all the terrible updates and do what you used to do. Considering making maps using only the old blocks, potions off, no strange physics and such.
- Don't play minigames that have either spikes, flames or whatsoever.
- Get around the people you used to know and play with them, instead of the new player who are used to this.

So, ignoring all the false account, here is an accurate description of what happened.

In mid 2011 there seemed to be less interaction from RPGMaster2000, and a disarray between the mods. At first Chris hired Peter, (a.k.a. Sbeam), but no ones really heard of him aside from when Chris first announced him as mod. So he could or could not be still a mod, no one really knows.

Then there came MrShoe, who (though people will say he has replaced Chris) has not replaced Chris. No one really knows Mrshoes overall involvement other than posting on the blog every week. I think he is more of a figurehead if anything.

And during Mrshoes rein there have been many new updates to EE.

First of all Chris decided it would be more fun if he made EE into an RPG style game. So he stripped the old magic system and added a new one. In this new system you can earn magic more easily by collecting coins (You can't be in god mode though.) When you collect the proper amount of coins you can increase your level, which increases your maximum amount of energy (up to 400 max) and unlocks certain smilies which you can buy/access. If you already have more than 400 energy though you will never get anymore from the new magic.

Smiley access has been locked on certain smilies until you reach the proper level to use them. However magic is destroyed over time (even when you are not playing), so if you are not constantly playing your magic will go down and you can't use your smileys.

Then Chris implemented the system of woots, which is basically like a system of voting, though arguably it is greatly abused by players and owners who are biased. You can have a maximum of 5 woots per day, and you can only woot up and not down. Woots on levels go down over time though. Like say now a popular level has 200 woots, after the level is closed for the night the next day the owner will have 0 woots and have to start over.

So with the new system there was a new change in the structure of lobby. Now you can sort levels dependent on many factors such as plays, woots, online, open, etc.... there is no such thing anymore though as beta only.

Beta, was replaced by Chris' new money making scam called Builders Club, go here and scroll down for more information.

If you owned beta prior to this update though you should still have it. If you do not have beta, and you previously purchased it then contact Chris.

EE now has a help page, a long with rules and terms.

You really want the game stagnates, remains stalled? You really want no update?
Through potions, and effect blocks (which allow the player to die), the possibility to design worlds and create new concepts grow up. Honestly, if no changes come to a game, it slowly dies (see : Terraria PC, BlockMiner, other ?). That's what you want?
With these changes, there is a greater possibility to create and play.   That it is better to stay with three small colored key.
The best we can hope for is to continue to have changes like that, the game is as a test we are the subjects. EE system must change, otherwise it will complain (as always).

But after that, sure, moderators are not necessarily to the best way to change the game The major flaw is that it asks the players to pay for the pleasure : play for fun (via builder club). In more, they create a new magic coin system with the woots, the idea is good : you have to login everyday to play and stay with a good class. But they made that you have to have a specific class to buy shop's item. Second mistake for me. After there are those who complain designs new blocks / smileys, but it doesn't very important.

Brief, why would you want to stop progress ?

Srs, if we hated evolution (which Lictor doesn't, it seems), we would kill all the different people (like Spartans, Hitler, Etc, but not really in an evolutionary way with Mr. Moustache), and that would make for no real change for modern humans. (for example: cavemen-like people walking around in the year 2000! Yikes!) Evolution is good, and EE is evolving. So yes, I agree with Lictor. Boom.

That is exactly what happened, whether it's good or bad depends on the person playing.

Basically the main factors concerning Everybody Edits at the moment are:

~Magic class system lock on smileys (ruins the originality of the game and does not enable easy access to a desired smiley, unless you are magic class 12)
~New Magic Coin System (Before you would find a magic coin in a level and that would add to the total magic you have, however Chris forces people to play by putting magic class levels, so people have to play levels to get magic coins so they can remain a high class so they have more variety of smiley selection)

Also in a recent update MrShoe decreased the magic degeneration time, basically less magic coins being lost of your magic coin bar. There are new mod's called Mrvoid aswell as MrShoe. They basically maintain the game and create updates. Chris tells Mrvoid and MrShoe what to do because he hired them to work for him. So if you don't like an upcoming update, complain to Chris.

A new help page and terms page has been added, you must accept the conditions and terms before you play (only once) However what else was added in the conditions was a rule where if your account has not been active (signed in) for 4 months then your account would get deleted. The help page is basically an overview of commands, potions,blocks,gems and all other related stuff to Everybody Edits.

I don't know if you know or if you care but updates used to be on a Thursday and are now on a Wednesday.

When EE was in a really bad time as some people say (mostly nubs) some people created a game which was similar to Everybody Edits, this was called Blocking Blocks. You will have to see it yourself and make an opinion.

Also a new woot system was created, this allows the player to 'Woot' for his/hers level of which they most enjoyed. Players get 5 woots per day, you cannot woot your own world. Once you've wooted for a level then the level will go up in the lobby underneath the woot tab. Also a 'Favourite' tab was added, so levels which are hand picked by players will be shown there for a certain amount of time.

I don't know if you was here but something called potions got implemented. Potions can change your physics, minimap color and your appearance.

Beta has been removed and Chris made something called Builders Club, this gives the player unlimited access to all blocks except diamond block.

This is just a basic overview of most of the stuff that happened to EE recently, check it all out at the help page!
