EE. Y U NO HAVE CAPS?

Honestly, I'n surprised that this hasn't been addressed before since this is a really old problem, but how come every time you try to type in something, you have a LIMITED amount of caps you can use depending on how many characters you have? I mean, it's not like that can prevent spam or anything. I've never seen any other game that limits the amount of caps you can have in one chat. The only client in EE that I've seen's been able to fix this is the old FST EE, but it only extended it by at least twice (plus it's broken now anyways..) I think this should be fixed somehow. i mean, at least make it slightly better.

Because, then almost everyone would spam and advertise worlds and other stuff in caps, it's like spamming.
P.S.: Also the title should be "Everybody Edits, why you don't have caps?"

It would be nice if the caps restrictions were relaxed. It is very annoying when trying to type something very simple in caps will be reduced to no caps, making your grammar look awful, and stuff to that effect.

And besides, it's a joke with the title. A topic about lack of caps with the title in caps is a sarcastic joke by the OP, Vilius. You should go live with GLaDOS for a while and then you will either come back alive knowing all about sarcasm or fall victim to neurotoxin.

There is a way to bypass it, if you spam unicode/alt code symbols at the end of an all caps sentence,

HI GUYS COD PLZ ????????????????????

The spammed symbols wont show but everything else should be in caps. (Unless it got fixed :I)

I've never seen any other game that limits the amount of caps you can have in one chat.

Well Minecraft in some servers, but other than that yes.

You're right!! I hate it when I can't use caps properly..
Sometimes I just want to emphasize a few words in a sentence but I can't, and it drives me nuts >.<

Well, you beat me to making the topic. lul. But it does get annoying when you want to yell at someone or do a really loud and unnecessary sound that might be funny depending on how good it is and how the humor levels of other people are.

For people that are either a. trolls or b. never played the game or c. used the chat if they have played the game (or are just plain stupid) , it goes something like this:

What I Want To Write:
OMG I HATE THIS LEVEL SO MUCH RAGE

EE Chat Says:
omg i hate this level so much rage

What I Want To Write:
WULULULULULULULULULULULULULU CALL OF THE FURRY ANIMALS

EE Chat Says:
wulululululululululululululu call of the furry animals

I never really understood the Caps thing too
its a waste of programming since apparently there is a small pattern that i have seen but i will evantually with 1 hour of math. i dont see how youw ould troll it would just make things stand out and there are bots that manage to do all caps to do share accounts so itw ouldnt change anything
so the pattern i have that i think how it works is: you start with "free" 4 Caps letters then you have to do 8 more lower case letters / spaces (yes they count too) so you can do about another 4 caps letters but the letters have to be words and if it goes 5 then its lower case and it punishes you with the whole sentence.
i mentioned this for showing how much of a waste of programming it is when you can just program "caps + letters = sentinece +   enter = works.   so ya change it for peat sake

Only the client has restrictions on capitals. The server couldn't care less if even the whole chat message was capitalized. This holds true for repeating characters, as well.
