Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

honestly i think only a few of ee players get what adventure is....What is adventure to you?
Why are you asking this?
because lately ive been seeing this and its getting old
If they cant do that what are they supposed to do?
Fit your challenge INTO the level, as shown below
obviously you don`t need to listen to me but this is a problem...EE is infested with a "mini" virus 1xd1

EX crew ice level?
YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES
That's exactly what I've been saying for ages. Black blocks remove the relationship between the art and challenges and it's a cheap and lazy way to fit your needs.
No u.

An adventure level is a level taking you through a themed world without any real challenges.
That is, none of the examples you give would in my definition be called an adventure world. I'd call them both "Challenging Worlds" (although Ice Level is easy compared to Egg Factory). An example of an adventure world would be Bootysnatch, by EX Crew. Although it do got challenges - it's not in any way challenging ('til the end) and uses paths the way I picture an adventure world would do.
Edit: Also maps like Dark City would be an adventure world - due to the fact you can make choices on where to go almost all the time.

I totaly agreed!
making good art is hard
making good challenges is hard
combining the two, VERY HARD.
while i myself would never use black borders, i'd rather take awesome challenges inside of boxes than boring open stuff with too many arrows (no offense).
Well minis are not necessarily bad
