Mods, Could you PLEASE talk to chris about this?

About copying others levels.
Smilis did it again!
He stole muffin's level claiming that muffin said it was O.k.

I mean really, can we PLEASE make a rule about this?

I notice Pauliomen (i think that's him) stole a couple of Addi's levels
And Smilis keeps doing this :/

Could a mod talk to Chris about this problem?

No, but smilis has copied levels saying it was Ok before and claimed to be in the EX crew.

Not very trustworthy.

And I don't believe muffin would allow him to take a level, copy it, and receive all the credit :I

dude its everybody edits this is what people do to make more levels popular because the people liked the original so then the copiers think that if they copy the level it will also be as popular... and btw let the people have it the way they want and if they don't like it oh well then its everybody edits

Yea it's just a game. No reason to get mad right?

EXAMPLE:
You spend hours working on a really nice level
People love your level.
Someone copies it and takes all the credit. Alot of people who don't know you say your a "fake".

Wouldn't you just be ****?

so? if somebody copies you you know that you have people that look forward and admire your levels so much they have to copy it... copiers mean that people like your levels so much they want to make their own:cool:

well stealing is true if the room is popular and people do come they will know this is the original and know that the other person is stealing it...

ThuggishPrune apparently NO ONE CARES except those who know what it takes to make this kind of levels, Moundsy, no offence, this is not fair and you know it, no one likes to waste time making a level so ANYONE CAN HAVE IT.

We should definitely make a rule against this as it's not fair to those people who have worked several hours to make a great level, and then someone copies it and takes all the credit for Your hard work. I would be really angry if someone did that to one of my levels.

I too agree with this and made a post on it a while back. It's not fair for someone to put all the hard work into a level just to have it copied.

It's not just a game it's plagiarism. Plagiarism of someones hard work. It doesn't matter what they are copying it's stealing no matter what way you see it. And stealing is against the law.

Copying levels is immoral, stupid, and selfish. And those who take the time to perform such feats should be banned. Why? Because they stole. It doesn't matter how small it is, the matter is they stole. And it's not fair that one person puts all their time and hard-work into a level just to have it copied by someone else. Then that someone else get's all the credit.

It's not fair that some people work their butts of to make good levels then get no credit at all. Level copying, plagiarism, stealing, all the same thing. It's not fair and should be a bannable offense.

i would hate it if i spent ages on a level and someone copyed it           ps i think its ok if its the the theme of anything

If we don`t ask for rules, someday some of you will find out their levels were copied, no one will help you, there are   NO RULES that can help you(us). We have accounts and passwords for a reason. If you want to share your work, FINE, I don`t, but when your level will appear in the lobby and will have someone`s else name   don`t come and cry like a baby!

@moundsy When ThuggishPrune says copy, he doesn't just mean some noob is stealing the idea. Smilis uses a program to copy the exact level into one of his own save slots.

Copying levels like this is a form of plagiarism.

its annoying but im kind of flattered by it too
