For many years we saw the light.

The light that was promised to us by the gods at the cost of simple deeds.
Time. Patience. Support.

We, as a community gave our full support. Thousands of dollars were given, positive support, feedback, graphics creation.

But that ends today. 02/12/2023. This is a dark day for all of us. We all saw it coming in all fairness. Everybody Edits! Project has been officially disclosed as of today.

We sticked around through hardships and pain, but fantabulous Satanya gave us a reality check:
We don't deserve this game.
We don't deserve the skilled Ukrainian programmers with 25 years of experience.
We don't deserve this fantabulous overlord game that is EverybodyEdits!.
We don't deserve her time, sweat and effort that she poured into those gothilicious Moth smileys made in paint.net.

We deserve none of that, and she made that very clear.

I'm sad we will never get to see the light of this game that was promised to us 2 years ago, but it is what it is. Come join us in Everybody Edits Offline discord server instead and let us enjoy the slow death of this community as well.

Its actually not a slow death, ee offline community may not be growing in numbers but it is growing in player power, there's massive & huge levels coming out such as my new world (no teasers available yet, but wait another 5 months and i might just post the first one!), lictor's ee collab, and

To make this absolutely clear with you, as I am trying to be completely transparent with the EE community, Satanya has officially announced the death of the project yesterday.

as someone who is not apart of the discord servers anymore. so excuse me for asking this, but what exactly happen? did lunarys just randomly decide, 'I quit!' without reason? did a massive fight break out between them and staff? or was it something else entirely?

I just wanted to emphasise this post. Kira is indeed trolling. Nothing has happened on the discord or anywhere else.

However, it is an interestingly timed troll post as we have been planning to make an update post today for a few weeks, so expect that soon. Only a handful of us knew that today was going to be an update day, so I'm doubtful that this date was leaked to Kira and it is genuinely just a coincidence.

Narcissistic much? If anything interacting with the staff team was an exhausting experience. To lack this much self-awareness is quite an achievement at this point.

Let me give you an example:

Satanya leaked the graphics of a potential Moth Smiley being introduced to the game. The community and myself expressed our concerns that the smiley might be too big to be used inside the game (The smiley was 3x3 in size whereas most smileys take 2 blocks worth of space if not 3).
She then proceeded to answer in a rude sarcastic way to essentially say "If you're not happy about it then go **** yourself".

There are many instances of this happening, not to mention the owner herself was making fun of other people without any worries.

It took you over a year to post a single update on the forums, safe to say you barely made any to begin with.

The Twitter is literally filled with nonsensical posts, little to 0 effort has been put into it.
Not to mention the pinned tweet is a post from 2010.

The EE! Discord server was already a graveyard. Changing it to read-only changes nothing.

Its quite a bizarre date for coincidences: 12 February 2023.

Also if my memory serves me right on Kira's relative geographical location, this seems to have been posted at a very unusual hour.

Just one day more and it would had been Monday 13th - a wasted chance IMHO.

Well, locking the topic expressed the intention that they won't interact with the community whatsoever. They believe that cocooning themselves to avoid "wasting time answering the community's concerns, feedbacks and questions" is the correct move.

I don't see how you came to the conclusion that these actions imply that EE! is canceled.
At worst, EE! development is paused. Thus, at worst, nothing truly changed.
If the staff were to abandon this project, why wouldn't they just mention it? Do you consider that they lie to avoid a possible retaliation against them?
Sincerely, as opposed to Xeno this administration did not ask for money but merely just for emotional support.

In this community, still, some members decide to label the concern of other members as tantrums.
We need to start thinking and acting positively for our own good.
Sure, the lack of a playable version of the game, erode this community, but this community also eroded itself from within poisoned by the need to create drama and distrust.

I don't believe that this decision will be reverted.
We could show our angst against it, in the traditional EE-forum style, or we can take this as a chance to look at what we can do constructively.

While I consider Kira's input on the matter very important to be mentioned, currently there's nothing left but to hope.

This is sad, end with our childhood by that way... I don't want to belittle staff's work, but canceling a project like this is too regrettable. I hope the game has a better path in the future. For all of us that miss and want Everybody Edits back!

I cry in my bed everyday because of EE! I pray to god for EE! launch. I just want EE! Can't imagine my life without EE! please developers work in this game I'll have depression if this game is cancelled:(:(

Clear as day, all they needed to do was show, not tell. But hey, at least we can be assured that now we'll be getting neither.

On top of that, are they really trying to frame silencing their community as a good thing? I'm no professional as they are, but even I know cutting off the reason you can even develop this game is quite possibly the worst decision you could make.

At this point this whole EE! thing has to be a Harvard experiment because there's NO WAY this isn't some kind of psychology study.
