Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I heard in the past that EE was originally created in 2009 but I haven´t found a single proof for this
Wiki tells other story, it says EE was created in 2010 to test the Flixel Engine (The game was in that time called Flixel Walker)
What date is correct? (Proof if it was really created in 2009 please)
march 2010
thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell

The original birthday of Everybody Edits is something I've wondered about for years. Several signs point to 2010, March 1 (including the "Multiplayer Platformworld" Newgrounds upload date and the archived Nanoba website), though the official release of Everybody Edits was March 13 according to the EE Staff. I recall correcting several people saying that they remember playing in 2009, and I've seen at least one user suggest they could have been a private alpha in 2009.

I have the timestamp from the first version of FlixelWalker game code uploaded to Benjaminsen's Player.IO account. It was embedded in the binary during compilation.
- March 7th, 2010.

If I may ask, didn't pIO come later like soon after the game was developed? It was practically an offline singleplayer game.

iirc Benjaminsen EE was created to show what capabilities PlayerIO has. It was a testing ground for PIO.

EE appears to have had multiplayer as early as March 2, possibly March 1. Multiplayer Platformworld was uploaded to Newgrounds on March 1, 2010. It was archived on March 4 with comments from March 2 strongly implying it had online multiplayer at the time.
Everybody Edits v0.5.0.0, the oldest version that hasn't been lost to time, appears to be from March 7. Strictly speaking, this may be the first version referred to as Everybody Edits, as I haven't found any evidence of the name being used earlier. But it's hard to know for sure.
