How is it anymore difficulty than it used to be? You just link to a SWF file, right? At that point it's just up to the user to have a supported web browser and Flash player.

actually i came up with an idea, why nnot use dns server and vpn like the one used from igg games to detect robots etc and add captcha etc.

it would be much safer it was done that way.

There actually exists a standalone player (with the functional flash player), for all PC platforms (Windows, MacOS and Linux) so people could download this instead, although there are disadvantages with this method since people can't use the convenience of a browser this way.

I am sorry, but you seem to have no clue why flash is not secure.
Tacking the word VPN onto everything does NOT make it safe. Even if the ads would like you to thing that way.

This is false. VPN's are definitely the panacea to all online woes. I use one all the time even on sketchy websites, and I am completely fine.

I havent played it for a long time and you still havent fixed the privating a world resulting in it being stuck to private even though it looks like its changed bug or it giving edit to everyone when do you plan to fix those?

I'm just curious why every database you have is open for everyone. As example ipbans totally open.
Then I don't understand why you have a database named playerobject when playerobjects is set to default.

About that, the testing server will be locked only to a certain testing team / shut down when the game is back to it's final phase, right?
Also, when the game is finalized, will it replace the current dead everybodyedits webpage, prompting a download to play, or will it just be here in the forums?

Might stick around for the next update, maybe then i'll hop on. (Sorry for the gravedig in advance, i was just curious to know a bit about it. Thing is, im worried the acutal server would be empty at the time of finalization because the test servers will instantly grant everything to everyone after a day, causing everyone to just go there.)

It probably won't appear on the main page, since this is an unofficial fan version.

Also, PlayerIO, the service used for Everybody Edits multiplayer in the past (and probably this version as well) had several security breaches, and the official team is working to take extra measures so that nobody's accounts are stolen. Like Tomahawk said, use a unique password and maybe email for this!

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I can't seem to see other worlds that are online, and other people can't see my world when I'm in it. I made sure I checked the box to show the world in the lobby and my profile, and my friend still couldn't see it. Anyone know what to do?

v1.2.11 was released, which includes an another expansion for Sci-fi package and new smiley!

The server version won't increase, which means that it is compatible with version 1.2.9, 1.2.9.1 and 1.2.10.

List of changes:

*Added One Eyed Smiley - initially introduced in unofficial mod - EE2 (Everybody Edits 2) in 2014

Hi, there. I wanted just to mention, that EESpender is for those, who knowns about tech and progamming (at least a bit) is more difficult to use, than I did expect. Can you simplify this guide to be clearful for everyone? And of course the first post was updated.

Crontab is for Linux and not Windows. To be able to run scheduled tasks you need to use the Task Scheduler in Windows.
You can follow this tutorial for Windows 10: https://digicruncher.com/task-scheduler-in-windows-10/.

Just be careful when it comes to delete your tasks. So you don't delete wrong ones that Windows uses.

v1.2.12 is being released. It brings some changes, that worlds will look more fun to play with one being from my mod EEO from v266 - 04.04.2021

General:

The client version is new v240
Restored the old icons for sound scheme
White Sci-fi Block and One-Way blocks are now white in minimap
Added 2 new variants to Pastel backgrounds (White and Black, which is invisible in minimap like a solid black block)

Other:

The links in right click will go to archived pages of EE (FAQ, Help and Terms)
Changed some texts to be generic
