It's a fruit.
I don't eat them unless it's in something else (Ketchup, Salsa, ect.)
They're pretty disgusting.

I've known it as a vegetable.
I only like then in ketchup.
Ketchup isn't only tomatoes, so I don't know. The only other time I've tasted one was in spaghetti. However, it was a chunk, because I don't like certain chunks, so it doesn't apply.
