Welp I randomly ran across some old EE stuff and thought I'd see if the community is still going, guess this is the state of things.

Back in the day I made the first maps with moving blocks. Someone else recorded it:

If you search for "EETool" on this forum I had a post from forever ago. That was my program that could run custom scripted animations. (But the timestamp on the post is wrong? I found those in my backups and they were definitely from 2010. I had to remake my forum account, so I guess the forum was reset at some point)

Also, forums were moved in 2015, so all posts from before then display as 2015. You can see on the bottom of the thread it says that it was last edited August of 2010, so that's probably more accurate.

I see you said you "found it in your backups", do you have anything EE related there that you can share?

I had to remake my forum account, so I guess the forum was reset at some point

If you want your old posts connected to your account again you can request it here. I don't know how the approval process works now that nobody has an EE account, though.

Ooh wow I remember playing that level for hours. What a trip.
Same boat here with the checking in and having to remake my account and all. I think I get get credit for the first EE clone, though it was in python and a joke. Well, first clone after Nobody Edits that is. Searching Anon or TwipplyCraft will churn those posts up.

Was definitely my favourite era of the shop. I think the thing I liked the most was that the size of the images wasn't consistent but all the boxes still fit together nicely.

I'm sure if I dug around some of my old google docs/old laptops I could find a ton of older screenshots I've accumulated, but for now, I got this from 2017. We were in the middle of making a hard level here, and I got lucky with magic from a random coin I touched while a mini was being edited still lol

these were the guidelines for an arris labs level? i don't remember what was happening here

this is a reference image from a chrono trigger themed level i helped with a while back. i forget what it was

i don't know who this person is either but i think it was a boss level's map art

cave-like minigame world that i began work on solo, never finished it

at some point, i teamed up with a person to recreate a bunch of pixel art from the binding of isaac: rebirth after it was released way back then. we ended up filling the whole map, and started on a second world, but i don't have the second world screenshotted

Open the sav in the newest EEAnimator, save it as a new file. Load it inside EEOditor and you can do what you want.
