We are anonymous

Dear community,

Over the years that this forum has been operating, it has become increasingly clear that our tolerance as a community has been limited by the passion we hold for the game. Grudges form easily and pressure is placed on members to behave in certain ways.

We have therefore decided to transition to a fully anonymous message board by applying the existing anonymity system to all subforums and all threads - both existing and new. We are confident that by giving users the choice of whether to identify themselves, we can stop grudges from forming and can ensure that any bias is restricted to its original thread, thereby preventing that bias from clouding subsequent discussion.

In this way, our dialogues with one another can focus on what people say rather than who they are. At the same time, this is an opportunity for each of us to behave in a manner that is most faithful to and best reflects our true selves, rather than simply maintaining the personas that others have projected onto us. Removing these prejudices and expressing ourselves honestly are the first steps towards achieving true freedom of speech, and we believe that with freedom of speech and greater fraternity we can become a community of which all members are valued and respected equally.

if I was pressing the buttons, I'd be worried that something in the anon-code would break the site on certain topics / subforums. I'm sure that's unfounded, but heck I'd be nervous lol

I think this is neat. And finally, I didn't see any April Fools hi-jinks until 2:00 PM today which is rather disappointing. It's a much bigger deal in school, I guess.

Weird. I can log out just fine.

Also I don't think anybody's accounts are being taken away. If you go to your profile page you can see that all your posts there are fine, so when this ends things the accounts will just go back to normal. Hopefully.

definitely am worried, but it's been all day and nobody's brought anything game-breaking to me.

Does anyone have the original images I used to make these icons? I made them on a computer I can't access (well I can but it'd be a pain) and I think I might have made the forum post using images from puush lmao
