TrueType graphics list

This topic is a list of TrueType graphics for EEU contributed by any user. TrueType graphics involve hinting for true scalability, and their outlines are stored in ttf files.

• TrueType EEU brick
This is the first instance of EEU graphics made in TrueType!

I made the updated TrueType brick and the TrueType smiley. Available at https://early2019.netlify.app/ .

The TrueType brick has revised hinting, with the inner content always being rounded down and to the right. In the previous version the sizes 23 and below would round up and left, causing the texture highlight shading to be more visible than in 24─35. Also, now the sizes 6─8 32─35 56─59 have the gaps round up while the shaded edges still round down. I have also disabled hinting below size 6, as 5×5 and below does not fit three rows with three gaps.

The TrueType brick textures are revised by moving the texture shading outward, and they are now 48×48 size, as a larger texture size reduces the pixelated effect of upscaling with four times four oversampling (which is nearest neighbor to four times the target size, as anti-aliased rendering takes place in four times the target size before box filter downscaling).

The TrueType smiley also disables hinting below size 6, and disables anti-aliasing from sizes 6 to 27 to ensure sharp single pixel circular borders.

This is not the actual EEU screenshots because I made my own renderer to properly render the graphics and I edited them into the example image. The EEU that is in HTML5 and relies on the browser SVG renderer is the one I refuse to play.
