I started my medsurg clinical last weekend. There was a patient I worked with who had a very bad covid infection in May. Ever since then she has been having issues with forming blood clots constantly which was never an issue for her before. Blood clot formation has been shown to be a potential long-term complication in some of those who had previous covid infections. She was on my floor because a she had a PE (blood clot in the lungs) and some of the clot broke off and travelled to her brain where she suffered a massive stroke. She now has severe neurological deficits due to the stroke. It goes to show how some people who had covid may suffer from long-term complications as a result of the infection. Sure some people get covid and are fine, but there is a still a decent portion of those who get covid that become very sick and may suffer complications post-infection.

It's pretty obvious, just by the last two posts you've made, that you are left leaning.

You can claim it has nothing to do with politics, but it absolutely does. The entire thing is an elaborate scheme by left-leaning politicians, large corporations, and international figure heads. It's so obvious, it's almost as if people like yourself are intentionally ignoring it.

There is a ton of information connecting those three groups, and showing how they stand to gain a lot from the hysteria. Democrats have used this situation to pain the Republicans in a bad light, accusing them of mishandling this non-existent disease. They've done this in an attempt to flip the House and the Senate and to start a massive push to rid the Oval Office of President Trump. Do you know who benefits the most from a government dominated by the Democrats? Large corporations. It had nothing to do with saving the economy, it had everything to do with Democrats scratching the backs of the people that got them into power. It's nothing short of embezzlement of federal funds.

problem is, a large percentage of the people who need to understand this are also the same people that don't have to worry about a clot in their brain

JaWapa is known for being a troll and it's pretty obvious to me. I wouldn't waste my time even if they were serious, the consensus is already on our side and, on top of that, there will always be some percentage people with silly beliefs. A person with inflammatory rhetoric out of the gate cannot be reasoned with as their stance hinges on an emotional basis, they will only change their perception through their own lived experience. The person that is worth attempting to sway is the one who is sitting on the fence or is questioning rather than asserting.

This **** is wild. The U.S. has been brought to it's knees by this. All it took was for people to get sick, and the entire system started to fail.

It's mind blowing that people don't understand how the government works here. There's a lot of blame being thrown at Trump for numerous things that were done poorly, regarding COVID as well as the civil rights movement. They don't understand that it's not just the president that **** up. There are 50 governors that wanted to play politics instead of taking care of their people.

There are 400 and some federal representatives in the House, and every single one of them wanted to clutter beneficial legislation with ****. They would sneak things into bills in an attempt to get them passed along with COVID relief. Trillions of dollars ended up going to random organizations and schools with the excuse that it was necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

They delayed help, and when it finally came it was a slap in the face to every single person in this country. They decided $1200 is all we needed to get by for four months. They attempted to give $35M to the John F. Kennedy School of Performing Arts, but were hesitant to give people $1200, and decided that they couldn't spare enough for a second check. If that doesn't show how corrupt and out of touch some of our politicians are, then I don't know what does.

Our government failed us and people are too ignorant to go vote and make the necessary changes.

You have to stop and think this might be true even if you want to think its a lie or theory without looking into it and researching it yourself to decide despite where the news come from. Research the sources against and with it. I shared the news and pointed to Alex Jones podcast as a source to go further. Just because he's well-known stating extremely controversial news and theories doesn't mean everything he says is a joke.

I'm not going to argue whether everything Dr. Yan and Alex Jones says is true because that's homework.

Got vaccinated a while back. No calls or waitlists or anything like that, I literally just walked into the clinic and was like "Yeah hi can I get vaccinated right now?" and they told me yes. I filled out a form, answered some basic questions about my health, and waited 10 minutes for a table to open up, and then spent another 5 in the lobby to ensure my body didn't have any reactions to the vaccine.

Getting my second shot today.
