Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Wasn't he just trying to pervent milkman from converting a cop? Mafia cop may be a serious threat if the cop himself has his bullets preservered.
Unless cop chooses to spend his 2 bullets on his first 2 nights
What are you talking about? The cop investigates whether a player is dangerous. He doesn't have bullets.

It's sketchy for me to ask my townreads to vote someone i don't townread? How so?
I've already told you. Trying to townblock so early in the game is, in general, more beneficial to scum, and you should know better than to try a tactic like that. You and onjit may trust each other now, but you both have very little information to base that trust off of. Connections as frail as that easily break apart if you two find you aren't as compatible as this one situation made you think you were. Trying to form a townblock later in the game, when you've had far more time to interact with someone, is far more logical, no?

Even though I myself townread pqwerty and onjit, I don't trust them that much yet, since holding up a facade is far easier early on in the game, and for all I know, it could all be a ploy.

The best way to organize blocks as town is to not try and form blocks.
There's nothing inherently wrong with townblocking, but effective townblocks form organically. So when I say you should not try and form blocks, I mean you shouldn't create one artificially. Townblocks should form when they form. And when it does form this way, it'll most likely be without the influence of scum and be harder for scum to break up, because, the slower it is to infiltrate a townblock, the harder it becomes for scum to slip in and disrupt things.
Think of a townblock like a relationship. If you go in only having known the person for a day, you're far more likely to have that friendship/relationship fail, simply because you learn that you're not nearly as compatible as that initial common factor would suggest you were. The same concept applies to blocks. The earlier they form, the more frequently they fall.
Thus, as scum, a good strategy would be asking to form a townblock. The earlier a townblock forms, the easier it is to dismantle, infiltrate, or otherwise influence later on.

I disagree with you. It's perfectly acceptable to ask people you genuinely townread to form a block. Some will form naturally as you say, but if you already feel like you are mindmelding with certain players, what's wrong with literally just asking? I see you are going for a relationship analogy. So tell me, what's wrong with a guy and a girl both liking each other, and the guy literally just asking her out and she says yes VS waiting for a relationship to form naturally without one of them ever really directly asking the other out? Both are valid strategies in my opinion. One isn't worse than the other, therefore that you're trying to discredit me based on my method isn't valid.

While what you're doing might be genuine, as I've said before, it's a strategy that would benefit the scum to propose.

So you're saying scum might copy what i'm doingt? Wouldn't the town notice if they were being fake? Clearly nobody would accept a townblock containing suspicious or scummy looking players.

Hypothesizing that someone is scum is far less likely to happen on day one than, say, day four, which is exactly why asking for a townblock so early is detrimental. Facades are easier to keep up in the early game, after all.

Besides, i'm still quite willing to vote someone else if you convince me you're not scum Luka. This game has a lot of null and scummy ish slots to me.

I've said more than enough. There's no way I'm gonna convince you that you're scum, so I'm leaving it at that and letting everyone else decide what to make of this conversation.

Your entire shtick is: "Norwegian asks townie looking players to townblock= scum" That's all you've got on me.
You clearly didn't think this out very well and are currently just making up some crap to save your own skin.

how can you convince someone that they themselves are scum lmao -- either they're scum, know it and they don't need convincing, or they're town and can just look at their rolecard
(p sure this is just poor wording but still made me laugh)

Yeah that's what I meant. You can't convince a townie they're scum, because they're not, and you can't convince scum they're scum, because they already know.

I'm afraid that it might be easy for scum to get in a townblock this early. Scum can simply act townie D1 and get in.

I agree with points Shadow made and am going to opt out of the whole cop thing because every incorrect guess of a mafia member appearing as not dangerous narrows the pool down
I also don't like Norboy forcing a townblock on D1. Besides the issues mentioned earlier, a townblock created earlier in the game is less likely to be questioned in late game because people barely look into early posts at that point and appeal to tradition kicks in (woah luka, a fallacy? :flush:)
That said, I don't scumread Norboy yet, even though I feel like day 1 townblocking easily could be scum motivated, I just have a gut feeling after all these games that whatever town!norboy does, it comes off as scummy
Pqwerty is a town lean for me
Don't know what to make of Onjit and Luka yet, though Luka raised valid points about townblocking
