Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

hello peace i think i have the solution you're looking for. it's called moderating your own level and saving frequently
if you dont save a lot then try getting into the habit of saving a lot
and also as taskmanager mentioned the function of kicking a troll exists

If you add a new rule you have to enforce it. There’s no way they can stop every troller if the game gets popular.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

minor punishment is good enough

It's probably quite hard to prove through a report system that someone trolled your world. I can agree that griefing someone and ruining their fun shouldn't have a place in the game, but it doesn't seem feasible to make it reportable. Instead, this should be managed by the owner's moderation of the world, which currently just means kicking them.
But I think there is a bit of a gap to be filled in terms of the extent to which you can moderate your world as the owner. I am not sure about giving the ability to ban users from entering your world, because maybe it could lead to issues with bullying and alienating players. On the other hand if they allowed banning, any bullying could be dealt with on a case by case basis. I think it would be good if owners could give some command permissions to other users, so they could allow others to moderate. Another idea is to have a blacklist of users who are not allowed to edit, even if they have the code.

Trolling isn't agaisnt the rules... And will never be. Don't give edit to users you don't know. Or better use a crew and add users there.
Offline
It's your own responsibility to moderate your own world.
If someone you don't know trolls your world, it's YOUR fault for giving them edit.
Are you just gonna blame the troller instead of yourself for giving him edit?
Also, use /save, and the /kick command. Don't randomly suggest **** if there are actually ways to prevent them.

2b what fi tis free edit? and what if ur afk?
1. save frequently
2. dont save at all
it's that simple
if someone trolls while you afk, simple, kick them, and load the world.

Honestly, free edit worlds are a dual edged sword. Yeah, you can get some nice works from other people, but you're also giving edit to *literally* everyone that comes into the world.
If people troll in it, it's more your responsibility than it is the moderators responsibility to deal with. You're the one who created the world to be free edit in the first place, which means you knew what you were signing up for when you created it. People are gonna troll, it sucks, but it's the sad truth of the matter, so just deal with it, and do what you can to salvage what you can. 2B's idea is the only viable way to cope with it, because if you didn't save when you were AFK, there's nothing the moderators or admins can do about it either.
Don't ask me what I'm doing, I don't even know what I'm doing.

Guys stop humoring peace's awful suggestion. It's not worth your time.
Holy **** stop being so toxic. I don't care if you dislike the post, but you don't need to try to bandwagon hate on peace. Just reread what you just said without any bias, and imagine if someone said that to you. It is not okay at all.
This is in fact a topic that has been debated a lot in the past, so peace really doesn't deserve to be treated like an idiot for bringing it up again. Personally I enjoy this discussion and I don't think it's a waste of time. If you don't have the imagination to find interesting things to say on the topic, that's on you.

Let’s discuss the OP, not the OP.

Just because a topic gets discussed a lot doesn't mean its actually a good topic to discuss. There's a lot of debate over whether the Earth is flat, but anyone with half a brain would know that isn't good topic of discussion since there's only one correct answer and we've known it for centuries.
Or, lemme guess, you're going to insinuate that "flat Earth" is actually a really good point of discussion, I just don't see it because I'm oh-so-unimaginative?
How long will it take me to get banned again?
Place your bets right here.

It's crazy that you don't address your toxicity which was my main point. Try some reflection for once.
I didn't say it was a good topic just because of how much it was discussed. I'm saying you're being an **** by telling everyone to stop discussing the topic, even though there is a lot of legitimate discussion to be had, which is evident from past topics (which can't be said about flat earth debate). The most mind blowing thing is that it's also evident in this very topic.
Even though I agree that we'll always reach the conclusion that trolling cannot be reportable, we get to that answer by different means. If you look at my post I actually agree that trolling should be against the rules, I just don't think it's practical to make it reportable. I am pretty sure that alone is not universally agreed on. Some people have said things that I don't really agree with, for example I don't think the fact that /kick exists is actually an argument against peace's suggestion. The purpose of the suggestion is to improve the existing system, so if you want to criticise it you should explain why it would fail to do that. I also don't agree with people saying that it's your fault if your world gets trolled. Just because there was something you could do to prevent it doesn't make it your fault.
In my post I also mention how we have to rely on /kick as the only user moderation tool which is not really that powerful. Obviously the point of peace's suggestion is to solve a particular issue, but the issue can't be solved in the way he's suggesting, so there is an equally relevant discussion to be had about alternative ways to solve that issue, such as improving user moderation ability.
Hopefully you can see that this discussion can be more than just the answer to the question in the title. It can be interesting to see how different people get to the answer, and it can also branch out into other relevant discussions. And honestly you could probably make a flat earth debate interesting too, it's just conversation skills.
