Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Staggering levels of irresponsibility and inexpedience.

Maybe some fireworks.

Re: What are your last moments of 2019?

My very last moment of early 2019 was sending some heartwarming texts to my gf (not related to the body pillows mentioned above).
That and pisco sours for around 2-3 rounds till we couldn't make heads or tails of anything.

Re: What are your last moments of 2019?

Dear Different55,

I am extremely grateful for your support and guidance over the last 12 months. The opportunity to develop my self-confidence, social skills and peer mentoring abilities has been invaluable, and I have enjoyed strengthening my aptitude for management and HR-related positions.

Unfortunately, recent events have come to light which prevent me from continuing in my role as forum moderator. These events are extremely personal in nature and require my full attention for the foreseeable future as I seek to support those around me while attending to my own well-being. As I am unable to commit to a fixed period of temporary leave, I will regretfully be tendering my resignation from the staff team, effective immediately. I understand that in doing so I forfeit my right to a negotiable severance arrangement, and will endeavour to reimburse the company any reasonable sum owed in lieu of my sudden departure.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with you.

Sincerely,

I understand the decision. Nobody would respect a person's authority after witnessing a sick burn like that.

I was half-way through watching IT Chapter 2 (which was awful imo), celebrated the New Year for a few min, and then watched the rest of the movie.
