Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: EE redirects to gitlab!?!

Looks like GitLab changed a default setting for some reason, making the page require you to sign in.

I've updated the setting so it should be coming back online, it might take a bit for it to update though.

Yeah, GitLab has a habit of changing default settings...

When the website came back after the breach, I was poking around the site to see what change did they made and after knowing they use gitlab. I was like confused because out of any other webspace, they decide to use this.

Moved to GitLab Bug Reports.

What do you use GitLab for? ee.com pulls the latest gamefiles from there or something?

One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Our goal after the breach was to prevent any potential way we could think of to do something like that again, but without taking too much time away from working on EEU.
This included moving to a different (more widely used) host with stricter and clearer access rules, and GitLab pages is a familiar and easy to use host for static pages that we managed to set up in a matter of days and is completely free.

It's not a permanent solution, and we'll be using something more professional for EEU, but right now it's pretty much exactly what we need to keep things going until EEU is finished, I can't really think of anything else that would fit these requirements better. (If you can, I'd be interesting to know what you'd use for future reference).

GitLab pages is a simple free website host, we're using it to host the majority of the webpage, as well as a few in-game images and files that need to be loaded dynamically.
