MAFIA 29

THE FRENCH REVOLUTION

Too long the powerful and the rich country of France has suffered. The people are starting to muster the courage to start a revolution against the powerful foe that is the gouvernement, but not everyone is on board with it...

Here is the setup:
In total we have
-3 Mafias
-9 Townies
-1 Neutral
-Win condition for Mafia is to have at least 1 Mafia alive at the end of the game. If 1 town and 1 mafia are alive, then Mafia will automatically win the game.
-Win condition for Town is to have killed all mafia members and the neutral.
-Mafia will have private room they can use at all, there won't be any Martyr PT.
-The game will be based on a day and night cycle, the timezone used will be GMT +1 (PARIS TIMEZONE!)
-You will have to lynch 1 person every day cycle. if the goal is not reached, the player with the most votes will be lynched.
-If 2 players have the same amount of the votes, the day will go overtime and will not end until someone decides to change their vote

BLACKLIST: (People that goes afk, has no interest in the game whatsoever or generally messes it up.)

completely unrelated, but i think i should also be in the blacklist since i only joined a forum mafia game once (26?) and i just asked for a replacement since i would be afk (was stupid of me not to know i would be afk when i signed up)

Simple. But still sounds exciting. Will they work the way they work like the ToS roles? Or do you plan for them to work in a different way?

I will change them a bit. The goal here is not to have roles that will highly impact the game, as I find discussion the most interesting part about Mafia. All of those roles can be used in a skilled manner, which allows for much more fun and overall enjoyment.

Nice. I like it. I do enjoy the more complex roles. But in some instances, they make the game deter too much from what it's originally meant to be. And, having seen the Purgatory version of Mafia, the deduction of everything makes it all the more interesting. So I'm glad that you're taking that into account to make the game more focused on that.

Alright. Time to practice my French and put it to some good use! (Just kidding, i don't know a single word in French.)
Setup looks damn interesting. I love the idea of incorporating historical periods as a theme.
Let's see if i'll have to be a loyalist searching for traitors to the crown or a revolutionary going against the tyranny of the king. :>
EDIT: Let's just reboot the entire mafia cinematic universe and call this one X2. (With X1 being PurgatorEE)

I think using historical events makes the game more interesting/realistic at the same time. Everyone can also learn from it, so there's that.
