Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

small amount of science: stops your message from going through with "<letter>.<letter>", "http", "img", "www.", and "://", and it has priority before checking if the thing you typed was a command.
Not fully answered yet because there's probably more triggers.

honestly this is really retarded, like holy ****
this is roblox chat level of retarded (at some point they started censoring literally every word that can be interpreted in a bad way)
if you fixed the issue with spam bots, why is this filter still in place?
have you considered that a false positive is much more probable for some most of these cases? (for example, o.o and :// text emojis, "img" used to shorten "image")
this solution is cheap and annoying and doesnt fix much because anyone can dodge these filters (and this thread is literally proof to that because people are actively trying to figure it out now)
the fact that a message that triggered the filter simply doesnt send (instead of being sent with *'s or showing up a message saying "error: links in chat not allowed") makes it even worse
im disappointed and angry

imgur is banned but Imgur isn't
I'm known as "haslo" in EE. Also, I refuse to play EEU.

I love censorship. Welcome to China 2.0.

this literally killed the only thing i still could get from ee. Chatting with friends. Links are like 30% of conversations

The danger's probably passed now. They could disable it until the next bunch of spam.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.
