Remember when EEU was supposed to be out?

Oh yea, it was supposed to be out "early 2019". Now, it's almost April, with, from what I've seen, barely anything has gotten done. If flash shuts down in 2020, and EEU still isn't released, what happens?

It might be around longer but it's not like 'Oh the game is delayed so new people will join ee'. Yes new people will join but it's not gonna make ee more active/populair if it's only up because eeu is delayed.

staff: oh itss early 2019 lets uplaod an bugy crappy unfinished game because we promised to release it early 2019 woudl be a very good idea

That's not the point. The point is that by early 2019, it was supposed to be a finished, uncrappy, unbuggy game. It's now April, and I haven't really seen any sign of progress on it, so now we have to wonder if it is in fact, still going to come out before July, as there has been no announcement of a delay in release time, or if in fact, that it's not even being worked on at all.

We'd all really love to get the new game out sooner rather than later, but do keep in mind that those dates were just guesses as to how long it would take. The process hasn't gone particularly smoothly, a good example being everything that's been going on in EE lately, reducing the time Luke has had available to continue work on the physics engine.

But none of this changes the fact that progress is being made, and that the game will become a reality. While I definitely understand that there's a certain degree of urgency to this, it ultimately doesn't make that much of a difference if it ends up taking a little longer than initially estimated.

Thank you for your input. The reason I was concerned, was because so far, the only thing we've heard was plans, and a few smiley graphics, and the previously estimated release date. My worry was that the game will be in planning stage for so long that it never actually gets worked on, so knowing that the physics engine is what's currently in progress was certainly a relief. I've seen games before that said that they were being worked on, with plans before, that eventually never actually get released.

Nah that's me—I guess I should have probably done what I thought of a while ago and make a forum thread for my vlogs, so you guys are more likely to hear about what's going on. I started doing weekly game dev logs mid-2017, and then once I joined the staff I started talking about stuff going on in EE (and then EEU) most of the time.

That preview looks like EE from newgrounds in 2010 (Multiplayer Platformworld). You'd think their game development would have gotten past the pre-alpha stage by now.
