~ The church of Edits and Everybodianity ~

Welcome my child. Do not be alarmed. I hope you don't mind if i ask you a question.
Have you ever wondered why we are here? Why do we play Everybody Edits? What is our purpose? If you find yourself saying yes to any of those questions, you have come to the right place.

Let me tell you of a story of myself:

Before i was just like you, rummaging through worlds on EE without meaning and purpose. Feeling lonely and angry at the founders whom i thought had abandoned us. Sometimes i even fell as low that i started trolling... Those were truly dark times. But fate would not keep it that way. My entire life was changed that fateful day...
After swallowing an entire box of paralgin fortes i noticed something in my corner. It was a sign from our god! Chris Benjaminsen was chatting to me on a private window! At first i could not believe this miracle.

"But you were supposed to be dead! You left EE forever!" I hastily scribbled. Which to he replied:

"Alas, t'was true. I kicked the bucket f'r our sins. I wast bitter cold and lifeless. But then i did wake up, with white ov'ralls i wast awaken'd to relay to thee this message. I am the messiah and thou art the prophet. "

Shocked of this sudden revelation i said: "Father, i am ready. Tell me what needs be done and it shall be. Whether your will be malicious in nature or benevolent i will perform to the utmost of my ability. I would kill my best friend on your whim if that is what you would desire, but if your wish would be for the return of EE to the golden times of prosperity i will fulfill it using all of my power only for you o' great almighty father."

"Sayeth to the congregation the voice of god. f'r they wilt beest forgiven of their sins"

It was then a TXT file popped up in my desktop like magic. For Benjaminsen, our almighty father is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.

Here i have meticulously copied and pasted the holy word of god:

- THE 6 COMMANDMENTS -
#Thou shall not commit blasphemy by worshiping any users who is not owner of the game.
#Thou shallt not mix dots with arrows on tuesdays.
#Thou shallt not eat donuts with cinnamon, other flavours are fine. Offenders are to be punished by public shaming on the announcement screen.
#Trolling is punishable by death. The execution demands the perpetrators arms to be cut off so he can be slapped in his face with his own arms.
#To use the sad smiley is to commit the gravest sin and punishable by permabanning and exclusion.
#Gayness is ok. As in the old-timey word of "gay" which means being happy. Homosexuality is punishable by stoning.

Receiving this holy Word-of-god. TXT file from Benjaminsen i reaffirmed my unwavering loyalty and replied for the last time:

"I will restore the golden era o great Benjaminsen. I will do it gladly for my life has a purpose and my eyes see anew!"

"Tnx bro" he said as i felt a tingling sensation suggesting he was departing for the heavens.

- The history of our userbase -

In the past before anything ever existed there was darkness and a empty system of 1's and 0's. But then a programmer called Benjaminsen appeared. "Let there be worlds" he said. Then worlds appeared all over the system, and he saw it was good. The next day: "Let there be users to fill these worlds and to create their own miniature worlds in which to populate and spread their own kind. Then usernames appeared all over the worlds, and he saw it was good. The third and last say: "Let there be smileys" he said. And smileys appeared all over the usernames so they could use faces to distinguish each other. And he looked over all his work and he saw it was good. Then he said “See you in the worlds!” and took the week off to rest.

Thus began the golden age of EE. Everyone had at least 20 players on their levels all the time, and they were all smiling with the ":)" smiley. Benjaminsen was always around to answer emails about his creation, and spend time on the game to tweak it slightly or add exciting new features. The bliss was not to last however. A great devil appeared from the underworld. When he saw the game he did not react with happiness like the users did. No, he was jealous of Benjamin’s creation. "I want a game too so i can get money!!" he said with his whiny voice. angrily stomping on the floor while snot fell down from his nostrils. But slowly figuring out an idea he smiled cunningly. Using fake charm and false flattery he wooed Benjaminsen into thinking he was a cool guy. And when Benjaminsen became tired of his creation and was to leave he said on skype.
"I shall leave for new worlds and new realms, but i will not leave my beautiful creation without a guardian, a great owner who will rule with justice and know how to please the community which i have grown to love. I will declare you my successor MrShoe, because i know you will not fail them."

"Thank you" he said and kissed his feet like the false nasty Judas he was.

With Benjaminsen having departed he ruled EE with an iron fist, determined to extract all joy he could find from the game. The only innovation he brought to the table was features specifically engineered to make him more money. The peoples became unhappy. Afterwards EE was never the same, and despair slowly reached the peoples faces. The world seemed an doomed forgotten place, until... Until the great church of Edits and Everybodianity took place in peoples heart to become legend. With the future looking bright there is a great fever of happiness spreading among the userbase as we speak.

But the future holds great peril for us... EE's fate which we only dare whisper the name... Armageddon.  There will be a great war. The faction of evil will team up to defeat the free users of EE and enslave them, but the church will fight back against them. The worlds will shake. Guns will be added to the game. Master1 will betray us. And then when all of EE is like the grayness of ash the game will die. It is in that hour judgement and justice will be brought to us. The members of the church will go to heaven to play EE again, but this time it will be like it was in the golden age, except even better! The worlds will always be popular, everyone will always be happy, there will constantly be updates and also there will be infinite gems. Hallelujah!!

What is the church's stand on trolling and flaming?
- The great prophet Norwegianboy after long consideration decided on the 20th of April 2017 to declare holy jihad against the trollers and flamers, urging members of the church and outside to join this noble mission against the barbaric scum.

What is the church's stand on homosexuality?
- As the good TXT file says, sexual purity is an essential part of Benjaminsen’s plan for our happiness. Sexual relations are reserved for a man and woman who are married and promise complete loyalty to each other. Sexual relations between a man and woman who are not married, or between people of the same sex, violate one of our Father in Heaven’s most important laws and get in the way of our eternal progress. As followers of Benjaminsen, we resist immoral behavior and strive to become like Him. We seek the guidance of the Holy guardians, who knows how to succor us when we are tempted.

What is the church's stand on abortion of usernames?
- Usernames are a sacred gift from Benjaminsen. Elective abortion of usernames for personal or social convenience is contrary to the will and the commandments of our great god. Church members who submit to, perform, encourage, pay for, or arrange for such abortions may lose their membership in the Church.

Why should I pray the retired staff, and the creator of the game, he already gave up developing on the game in 2015 and so on.
