Does anyone else feel like movies and/or games are getting worse?

I've been having this feeling for a while and I was curious what anyone else thought

I agree. Movies became worser and worser already for a while. American and British movies are the best in my opinion, but somehow even they get bad...

Maybe games and movies were always bad and your nostalgia is blinding you from the fact? Maybe you just don't enjoy games anymore because you are getting older and have no interest in them? Who is to say its not the same for movies? You aren't a kid anymore who enjoys superheroes and spaceships. You are telling yourself its the movies which are getting worse, there's no way your standards could become higher, right? Watch a movie or play a game which you have no nostalgia for and compare it to a movie/game you would watch/play now. Has it really gotten worse? Why is it that special effects are almost true to life and acting has improved by bounds but for some reason movies are getting worse?
