you...you realize that's just #000000...right?

#000000 is black, if you fill half the world with the secret block that makes the minimap invisible and you leave the other half empty and do /bgcolor #000000 you're gonna see that 2nd half you didn't fill in. In-game the secret block is black but on the minimap it's not a color.

Edit: Also the suggestion is a background that you don't see on the minimap.

You can see the basic  blocks that are behind the minimap because there are secret blocks there. Peace is suggesting something like that but it's a background color. You still see blocks but you don't see the background on the map.
