hey you should include pros and cons of eeu in this thread too
i think a major negative side for both of them is that theyre not even released yet

Um peace, maybe you should wait with making a pros/cons topic untill it's actually released or we know something about it. If you have nothing and it takes long other topics that are actually useful because there's something in them will push this topic lower, then it gets forgotten, then gravedigging, diff warns you. You could've made this when it ill be released, might be better.

Well so far, all the negative options for the current option are that it will be replaced by a newer version.
And the negative side of the newer version is that it'll last for an estimated 3-5 months before being removed...

Positive sides are, that the current design is a classic and unforgettable.
Positive side of the new design and that of EEU are listed below in a large list that describes everything in detail.

Completely disagree. Obviously we can't know that the new lobby will be better, but the current one definitely needs replacing. I really think this is one of the major areas holding EE back. It just doesn't seem that way because it feels 'adequate', and criticising it requires you to be aware of alternative systems. The lobby is important because it's one of the ways you can find worlds without being linked. The other ways are friends list, campaigns, profiles, and crews, and I think the lobby is more important than all of these things because it's used more frequently.

At worst, the new lobby won't make a difference, which tbh is most likely what will happen. Or they will actually do some smart things with the new lobby, in which case I will be impressed.

This thread’s premature.

Some downsides of the current lobby:

Super laggy search bar sometimes;
Map previews aren’t permanently displayed;
Player counts don’t update in real-time;
If you’re in the process of buying one thing, you can’t just click one button to quickly throw your energy onto that without loading the whole shop;
Worlds in the list don’t tell you if friends are inside;
The crew/friends/etc section takes up more space than it needs and probably most people don’t use it;
There’s no chatroom in the lobby;
The messages thing functions like someone from 2005 designed it;
Staff notices / update info isn’t prominent enough. It should be in permanent banners over or under the game;
There could be more seasonal or EE-themed animations and graphics to make everything look nicer, provided it doesn’t lag the lobby.
There’s no tab in the shop for stuff you’ve got energy on.
