Finishing 2018 With A Bang! - Time Trials & Lobby Overhaul

Hi Everybody!

Welcome to the largest Everybody Edits update of the year! A fitting way to finish 2018 I feel.

So, the long-awaited Lobby Overhaul has finally arrived! We've done all we can to optimise how the lobby and profiles act, and make them simpler for everyone to understand and use!

Feel free to explore yourselves, but one of the most important additions for the Beta users out there is that you're able to Opt-In to being invited to the Everybody Edit Universe Closed Beta when it's ready to go! I'll be personally going through each account that signs up to check how best to compensate you in EE Universe.

Meanwhile, our amazing Campaign Team have been working for half a year to make "The Thing" happen, also known as Time Trial Mode! For every permanent campaign available, you can now race against the clock to achieve the best speedrunning times in the community! As such, this also means you're able to show off your stellar racing achievements with additions to the badges on your profile:

Not only that, to compliment this epic new feature, we have a brand new Speedrun Campaign to go with it, made up of some of the most suitable starter speedrunning levels to get you all warmed up!

There may also be a way to get an elusive new smiley as some of you may have spotted already:

Other update things include:

• - Lack of some Divine Supporters' colors has now been rectified!

• - Optimized Profile loading when clicking on other players! Minimap loading has also been improved.

• - Even more commands available, including "/givemap" and "/removemap" for World Owners.

• - Every Snowman NPC lost their hat!

• - Desolate Helix & Helix Reborn have had their difficulties upgraded.

• - Changes to the Keybinding System and settings means they may have been set back to default - Sorry! Feel free to edit them again, and they should save to your account.

WOW now we can finally stop bugging joeyc to find out what the thing is! In all seriousness though, I've been wanting an easier way to speedrun EE levels recently, so this is great timing! Lobby overhaul looks great too

Thanks again for a great update. Here comes some stuff about the update.

Lobby:

Great:

• Everything feels much faster.

• It's now better to sort the worlds by x in a dropdown

• Friendlist show now the exact time when someone was online

• It's now much faster to load the minimap and data from a world in lobby.

Improvements:

• You can't sort your own worlds

Campaings:

Great:

• You can now speedrun and show your time.

Improvements:

• There is no leader board. Would be nice to see top10 speedruns time a player have. It's only showing a little icon at the top left.

Other things. The code that generate the image could end in a crash.
There is no checking if the world have no data, aka is null.

GG GG GG ITS HERE GG GG GG GG GG so far im in th elobby and i like the social tab alogn wiht you still be able to quickly join ur firends in real lobby shop is replaced btu i think its fine i signed up for the closed beta cuz why not? now i can finknaly get teh forst drgaon if im smart enough and one question does time tiral save progress or delete progress in other cmapaings?

first of all Haii c:
i wanted to talk about this change of the lobby i really done see the point of it if u just gonna being the old style back and just confuse everything around, theres a problem with friends online or offline people r online and it doesnt apear at all can that be fixed atleast? im really disapointed from the lobby change it wasnt that worth looking forward too i know it could have been better.

whats the point of helix reborn having 30 hours for gold if the progress doesnt save
what do you expect me to beat it in 1 session without sleep or make me waste 8 hours or so of doing nothing just to get gold

i agree ive checked those times just to be curious but why woudl you want to do extreme cmapaings spedrunning if none can do it in 1 session (exept for maby kirby since shes from cmapaing staff and is quite pro)

collapse mode in firends is nice if 2 feiedns are in same world it shows  in 1 box so your list isn tclogged up
