Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

just highlight the quote
Or quote the entire thing and just remove the rest. Would take longer though.
Offline
just highlight part of the post with your mouse and click quote
This feature is brocken and Diff won't be trying to fix it.
it works great but you have to do it multiply times

So it's a useless suggestion? You just proved yourself that it's already possible.

Possible doesn't mean it can't be made automated/easier.

Well how are you gonna select that it quotes a certain part? Highlighting it and then pressing the split quote button?
ed/easier.
Like that where I just highlighted the part of your message that said ed/easier. And pressed quote.

See, you already quoted someone and currently edit your post. If you have 7 different points and I quoted you and am already editing it, there should be a fast way to split your quote into two parts.

I love you.
You can just type a message, highlight the part you want to quote after you typed it. (Like so:)

Here I took a part by highlighting it and it shows that you quoted it and only the text I quoted, after I already edited my message. Now I can click quote again to quote your post or I can highlight and then quote.

Hey look I already quoted you and I'm editing my post. It literally took me like 10 seconds to put that last quote and this includes scrolling, highlighting, clicking quote and scrolling back down. Probably took a bit less.

I just did, this took me 10 seconds or less aswell. Now tell me, how can you inprove this? Literally all the time I lost to quote you is actually clicking quote, which will still have to happen anyways.

No. Try selecting:
this part OF The TeXt
And find me any formatting or the quote in your post
this part OF The TeXt
Like this?
Edit: Oh I see, so it puts the text including color, bold, italics, strikethrough, underline etc.

Exactly. As this feature is broken and it’s “too hard” to fix I am suggesting a compromise feature for diff which is easier to make.
