I had suggested this directly to Diff, in a better form. I had even offered myself to implement this completely voluntarily.
I'll try to experiment with the BBCode parser with a local forum, bring a finished version of the forum URL parser, and hope that it gets approved.

There's not no chance but in my view a better solution would be just to make those unused tags stop existing. Won't do that because they *are* used in like 3 posts but
