Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The crew is for patreons, not for people who pay. If you want to be in the crew you must be patreon, not pay.

You misunderstand what I want to explain, but it does not matter. If there is a crew for patreons I do not care.

Excuse me, but how do you become a "Patreon"? I thought people that donated were actually called "Patrons".

How's that a misunderstanding? The only way to get into A, you need to be B. The only way to be B, you need to C. You claim you can get into A without C, but then explain you need to C anyway. That makes no sense.

I'm saying that to be A the initial requirement is B (which requires C) but you make it look like the initial requirement is C
It's just that (and again, I'm not supporting the crew for patrons)

It doesn't matter whether C is the initial requirement or not. It's still a requirement, and it's what matters.

That's kind of a weird way to look at things tho.
Can I also complete a marathon run in a single step, since it's the last step and not the initial thousands before it?
Or drive to work.. without buying or borrowing a vehicle?
Point is, if C is required for B, and B is required for A, then C is required for A. That's some form of the transitive property, I think. When you say you don't have to pay, it'd be logical to ask "So it's free to join?" in which case you'd have to say "No," which contradicts "You don't have to pay."

C is indirectlt requiered for A, not directly

As if these forums had any sense of logic to begin with
