Does anyone have a guide for the two other coins in the skyward sword RGB puzzle? What the heck, this thing is broken af. Some portals you jump into, it rapidly fires you through it again or another portal and sets you at the bottom. One time I got combo'd through like 20 portals. How did this pass??? I don't want to spend literally hours trying to figure this out, this map is long as is.

Bah. Was going to show an image, but Imgur is down. To describe in words, start at the bottom. Hold up in the arrows, so you land on the ground with momentum (not easy). Jump into the arrows on the right, then when you loop around, jump twice quickly. You're aiming for the top-left arrows.

Unfortunately, I don't remember what things look like off the top of my head, but I could join you later and show you in person. The two I think you're talking about both involve dropping into portals and maintaining momentum.

That depends on which of the coins you need.

Pay attention to the color order, as well as the rotations of the portals in each room. All three coins require one bounce through opposite-direction portals almost immediately before the coin.

I was able to finish, with the help of Joey for the middle one and some help for the left one (after awhile I figured out the solution). I do think that this isn't a fair puzzle, though. Knowing which direction to enter from and how you'll exit is difficult to predict, and leaping into a portal can switch colors 2, 3, even like 10 times, all within a half second. It just doesn't seem properly tested. Like one portal at the bottom right has an arrow to prevent you from entering it again, but this fix stopped there, no other portal was received this rapid anti re-entry treatment. This also isn't a puzzle campaign, so it's not really fair for someone who's skilled in platforming to get stuck on something like this.. puzzles in a non-puzzle campaign shouldn't be this confusing, as well as this broken (not calling it that because of frustration, but because of the rapid re-entry).

I'm stumped. The CTM2 guide says to follow the bushes, but the jump seems pixel perfect and luck-based (plus, the guide has been wrong on other occasions). I've been testing the jump I've drawn with the red line, but I've been having trouble with that, too, as even when I make it, I don't always stop in time.

Is there a more consistent method I'm missing?

can you post a bigger screenshot? i can tell you if i can see numbers on the coin doors, but i don't have the coin counts memorized.

After doing Faron's blue coins, you head right to the cistern level. If you finished that already, you go to yellow for the next blue coins, not red.

If that doesn't help, then you need to be more specific.

1. The forums have a precautionary feature where you can't post images or links in your first few posts to avoid spam bots. It should automatically allow you to after you've made a few more.

2. IIRC lightshot no longer allows you to embed their images, so you'll have to use a different image hosting site such as imgur. To post an image you need to right click on the uploaded image in imgur, click on 'copy image location' (or whatever your equivalent is) then paste it in the post box inside an image tag (e.g. [img]i.imgur.com/exampleurl.png[/img])
