Out of the loop, when was this coin collector bot used, how did it work and why is it no longer relevant?

at least 2013.
it would send you through your world and you would collect a bunch of coins (a small world filled with coins worked). no longer relevant because bots cant collect coins (afaik)

Magic used to be unaffected by how much maximum energy you had, so the chances of you receiving magic coins was relatively high, and there were no criteria for the random nature of collecting coins, so anyone could just collect as many coins as they wanted, usually using bots, and receive lots of maximum energy increases from them. Players would often leave bots running overnight to collect as many coins as they can for the maximum energy increases.

To prevent this, changes to the whole magic system were made, including the most notable change that the amount of maximum energy a player has reduces the chances of picking up a new magic coin in future, thus slowing down the process of coin collection drastically. There are also conditions in place regarding the frequencies of coins in the world, and the frequencies of collecting them. This is why worlds such as "50,000 Magic Coins" now rarely, if ever, gives any Magic Coins at all. There are further conditions, but I don't want to get too into detail, mainly as there's no need for me to.

If I do all unfinished campaigns I'll have 1580 max energy (currently 1365, so +215), but yeah I won't waste my time on that (while I just wasted my time on calculating how much energy I would have.. ).

But please make magic coins more common for people with a high amount of max energy. My last magic coin was like 5 months ago (I already have all magic items).

But please make magic coins more common for people with a high amount of max energy. My last magic coin was like 5 months ago (I already have all magic items).

if you have all magic items you would have had to get a magic coin between april 30 and now

Kind of surprised how not far behind I am despite being away from the game for a long time at one point (currently have 1253).

This actually makes me more surprised how I even managed to get all the magic bricks by now. Probably dumb luck.
