This was discussed before, I think the general conclusion was that there's no point disabling the minimap as players can pretty easily just screenshot it after they first get it.

Actually, there is a point. Players can see there current location on the map when it is enabled, but screenshotting it only shows where their location was at the time of screenshotting. That can be very useful for making exploration based levels or puzzles where the user must use the mapping skills to find out where they are in the level.

You make a valid point, I didn't think of that. (Though you could always make a "disable inspection" option, which would be useful for more than just this idea)
At the end of the day though, eeditor exists so there's no real true way to hide the minimap after all.

still it takes effort to abuse this kidn fo things +the disabled map block and be hided somwhere so you dont have time to take a screen
