A perma-ban are you **** serious? Someone used a reaction gif and they deserve to never view the forums again? No!
But I don't think that using reaction gifs is something that's against the rules or should be against the rules. They usually do a good job of conveying the message the person is trying to say, for example how Kira's gif in this topic clearly represents a "No.", thus they do contribute to the post they made.
Of course you have a right to think this is dumb, but you cannot make this a banable offense.

actually... why gif/image of reaction isn't a spam when it's taked once, and simple writted thing, like NorvegianBoy's "haha" in the one of the lasts 5 listings (or on the next page) here was a spam!?
it present emotion, same as emoticon, or |image/gif| reaction, it it was reason to warning :S

uh hi, here is a script to remove norwegianboy's reaction pictures because i get annoyed by them too:

JQuery 


$('.blockpost').not('.liker').each(function(r,n) {
	if($(n).find('.postleft dl dt strong a').attr('href').endsWith('=734'))
		$(n).find('.postright .postimg img').each(function(a,m) {
				if(m.width == m.height) $(this).remove()
        });
});

pls note i don't know jquery so i wrote this by troubleshooting

just remove this part

if(m.width == m.height)

and edit user's id in

.endsWith('=734'))
