Watchful

A simple, yet... no it's just really simple...

As some of you might know, on Jet's server there was a discord bot called Watchful.
It's purpose was rather simple; read these forums and post replies in the #forums channel, just like GregBot.
With the fact that the discord server got terminated, Watchful died as well. Later, someone asked for Watchful for their own discord server, so I decided that I might as well do an (almost) full recode and release it as a public bot.

A much needed ping command.
Easy to setup > Just add the bot and run the setup command.
Icons for staff post > Stalk staff even easier!
Link your discord account to your forum account > Are you really that forum person?!
Topic subscriptions > Subscribe to forum topics and receive notifications

Change post icon (or make it random like on Jet's server)
Profile checker. (copied from old Watchful)
Maybe even more stuff...

So I have been wanting to do this for some time, and this evening I found enough time to do so.
Watchful now allows you to link your discord and forum account so you can verify ownership.

This feature can also be used for other forum related stuff.

The proces is actually quite simple. I have made a nice picture of basically the whole process down here:

EDIT: Please not that the default prefix is ! and not w?
EDIT 2: You have to specify the FORUM ACCOUNT name as first parameter, not your discord name...

The real reason that I had time for this is that my GPU died...

Hey there,

I have just pushed a new feature to Watchful.
As you might know, you can subscribe to topics on the forums here. Sadly there are no notifications though. Watchful aims to change this a bit.

Once you have linked your forum account to your discord account you will automatically subscribe to any topics you post on. This feature can be toggled of course.
As soon as someone else post in the topic you will be notified about it with a little PM.

If you are done with a certain topic and you wish to no longer receive notification you can simple !unsub <topic ID>. I plan on making this a bit easier by allowing user to add cross-emoji reactions to show they want to unsub.
In case you are subbed to many topics you can also remove all your subscriptions using the !unsuball command. Do watch out though, this action can not be reverted.

You can also manually subscribe to any topic by using the !sub <topic ID> command. This does not accept topic names as for yet, but I might add this later if the need is there.

Please note that only the subscribe commands are allowed in PMs since other commands rely too much on the actual guilds.

PS: Your first message might not be catched if you do not post that often. I have just recently started using collecting forum ids instead of just the forum names.

I deeply apologize for @everyone-ing twice. In retrospect, I should've brought it up in private to marten, but I will stand by the first time being fine - the second time isn't OK.

There was no 3rd time: I was just getting a /s screenshot
The reason for the second @everyone was because it seemed Marten had implemented @ sanitization incorrectly, and he would've discovered that had he thoroughly tested, but everyone can make mistakes.
The proper way to sanitize @ would be to use a ZWP (Zero White Space) character (\x200b) in front of the @. I should have addressed this in private with MartenM

I don't aim to defend myself, I am at fault for this - but I'd just like to clarify.
I take full responsibility of my actions - in retrospect I should've addressed it in private.

Sorry, I haven't been able to adress this problem correctly.
Been quite busy IRL (vacation, introduction weeks and more) the last couple of weeks and when I do have some spare time I used it to get ready for the next event ;/

Will try to adress this tomorrow (if I get some time behind my pc).
