Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I need switches/triggers that allow users to buy items and actually lose coins out of it. [EXAMPLE]: I have 25 coins and buy a high jump boost for 10 coins in the shop. I leave the shop with 15 coins and my high jump boost. Now, now. Is this sort of system possible (as of now)? Yes, if you use the world portals and target spawns, HOWEVER they cost a lot of energy and I'm doing a world where you have a certain "job level", your current amount of money, your mail, etc. (In other words, when I use the world portal and target spawn, I need a "saving system" so the right target spawn puts in all the switches/money the user had before. However, there are too many different sorts of events (one user could have 15 coins and no job, the other one could have 19 coins and a promotion, while the other one has 30 coins and job promotion lv. 2, etc.). This results in having LOTS AND LOTS OF target spawns and world spawns (which cost a lot and would take a lot of space in my world). So, here's my suggestion.
You have 25 coins. You buy an high jump boost for 10 coins. You get through a system that verifies if you actually have over 10 coins (coin doors), then you lose 10 coins (with the triggers that remove X amount of coins). You leave the shop, happy, with your high jump boost, that you managed to buy with coins thanks to EE being a wonderful platform/game that listens to their community and sucessfully added this epic feature that everyone loves and cherish.
Please, add this. These switches have so many opportunities and you should really take them into consideration. My world is at a point where I absolutely need them, and it would be a shame if I couldn't complete it. Thanks for reading and leave your opinions below!

binary values
Not only binary
You can have regular base10 values too
For example
Using 1,2,3..8,9 switches to display the first digit
Using 10,20,30..80,90 switches to display second digit
Safe for 3rd digit
It's implemented very good in one of the Kirby levels (don't remember the name, ask him)

You can create variables by using switches (binary values)
Yea, I once tried that, but it just confuses my switch stuff even more, plus it would be quite hard for the player to know how many coins he actually has

if you want, i could build an tutorial in world creation for 8 bit values (from 0 to 255 or from -128 to 127) that adds from -16 to 16
or base 10 thing, like gosha said
of course after contest tournament, because now i haven't enough time

the main problem with removing coins is that if you add them it makes sense to need to be able to re-grab them.
however, if you do this you run into a problem - which coins should be re-grabbable?
suddenly random sig change

Well I mean once you picked up a coin it dissapears
If you get it removed you won't be able to pick it up again
Let's say you make a system where robbers rob you 1 coin
If they rob you 1 coin you won't be able to pick it up again

by the time you have something like that it's probably just easier to make it out of switches. losing coins with a repeatable trigger would make it easy to do things like force a player to -999 coins.
