Patreon is basically a way for us to raise enough money to pay for the rEEboot, the rewards are us saying thank you to the people who help support this goal.

The game is dead, we all know this, but what this Patreon is for... It is for the future revival of everybody Edits as a Game and Franchise, I'm sure everyone that is currently playing the game right now enjoys the game, otherwise, why do something you don't enjoy, (unless you are in school or have a bad job, etc). In order for them to move forward with the progress of the game, they need money, that's right real Life Currency, not in-game currency (gems, Energy), By asking the community that hopefully shares the same mindset as the staff for their support is only natural, and if you call yourself an Everybody Edits player, then support them.. And if you can't financially support them, then what is the point of the negativity you are bringing to the game, either don't say anything, agree, or state some honest criticism about what you think could improve their cause...

Why the everybody edits patreon is shady

Warning, Opinions ahead, All of this is an opinion, You have been warned!

This is why the EE patreon is fishy in my opinion (Has nothing at all to do with the actual game!)
The thing that makes me view the patreon as manipulative has to do with the fine text, Not in patreon but many people dont read small gray text at the bottom.
The donations are monthly, That would be completely fine but the donations are 10$, 10X12=120$ a year.
A mild yellow tint to your name along with slightly more energy is not worth over 100$. and its disguised as 10$.
It gives the game a terrible rep in my opinion, Not on the level of games like edge of space that just took off with all your money, But still I wont be coming back anytime soon.

Another one who seems to completely miss the point of Patreon.

Once again, those aren't services, but donations.

I don't see how some users willing to support the game and get a special color name as a gratitude would give the game a terrible reputation. That's a ridiculous complaint.

You're buying the **gems** with the patreon. Everything else you get is a bonus to show that you bought them.

I thought this was common knowledge that it's a monthly donation? Either way, like HG said it's a donation type system, and you're under no obligation to give your money to it

I don't think it's shady, but there should be something to show for the game if they want more donations/investments.
