Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?
You are not logged in.
I could not see any posts because I said “no”.
Being completely banned for such a stupid reason, as guest not even be able to see the reason.
Seriously?? Reboot will die with this forums.
Can you imagine if you have 1 month ban for such!?
Suggestion: Use VPN-sites like hide.me which are (1) allowed and (2) will allow you to view the forums while banned.
With this, bad forums, 3/10
No.

For what it's worth, Anatoly, even as guest, you could figure out the gist of why you were banned. Rules > Show Recent Warnings > (Warned User = Anatoly) Details > Takes you to "No"
What is your goal with this topic, then? Is it to advocate for "Remove IP Bans." as the title suggests, or are you looking to change a rule?

Doesn't work if he's gone and nuked his cookies, which he did. Then he's just left with an IP ban and a login for the guest account, which has no warnings attached to it. Also none of those pages work while banned. Everything just redirects to the ban page with its copy of the active warnings list. He should still get an email from the warning PM though, and he does get to see what type of warning he got.

well he alluded to using a VPN, and I can view the recent warnings page incognito

But to be able to view that while banned you need a VPN + wiping your cookies.
what do you mean i was able to browse forums in chrome incognito mode when i got banned and it doesnt change or hide your ip
If you browse on another device, the forums might have used just the IP from that.

What did the admin expect you to say? Others know your opinion if you say "No". It makes sense and has a meaning.

Its been said many times that you should at least explain why you think a suggestion is bad. Just saying 'No' doesn't really get anywhere, and isn't going to do anything to convince people that it is in fact a bad suggestion or help people improve it.

@Diff I didn’t nuke my cookies. After much useless bans I’m just never clicking the “Keep me logged in” button

The moral of this thread is that there is no hope for a reboot. All developers of the game are wasting their time and patreon will fail. How can such a reboot exist when Anatoly is banned from the forums on occasion? It would seem that we are all doomEEd.

imo, instead of actually complaining and blaming the forums. Contribute to the topic? Rather than saying No. and much more
the warning was deserved pretty fairly

OKay, back to topic, why do you lock the entire view when banned. I mean, will it harm the forums if the user can see whats going on.

Do you know the meaning of BAN / BANISH
Do you really need someone to search that for ya? Use google, I heard it helps a lot!

by the same token, why does it matter if that happens or not? You seem pretty knowledgeable about how to make that a nonissue. If it's relatively easy to circumvent, maybe it's just to be a nuisance to the users who choose to be nuisances.
