Halloween Contest

In order to (hopefully) keep the Halloween Contest sign-up thread clean for RPG, I created this thread for discussion about the contest. I can imagine how it might be difficult to sort through a bunch of sign-ups if half the posts in the thread aren't sign-ups.

So discuss. The contest.

This is all I have to say, myself.

- If any of the following items are included in your map, it will be disqualified to ensure that all entries are of high quality:
       Smilies
       Sprite art from other games
       Imported/animated art
       Bosses
       Stairs
       Minigame boxes
. . .

- Art and minigames must blend in seamlessly with each other. What this means is that we?d for example prefer not to see a bunch of completely black Minigame boxes surrounding a piece of beautiful art. Make them blend together!

Okey I have a question about this. The level must be Halloween themed, but by this. Do they mean that it have to be based on the real holiday of halloween. Or can it just be based on a scary theme? Or something along that line. Because what is halloween really?

It can be both holiday based or just scary. To me, they are both connected.

Don't take the scary part way too out of context, you still know what I mean. While it doesn't need to feature pumpkins or skeletons, it still needs to have a sort of gothic/scary/medieval tone to the level.

Because of Cyclone's illness, he wasn't able to finish the system in time. We'll save it for the next one instead.

The trophy in the middle is indeed a new brick with decoration properties so people can't obscure it. I suggested that it would have a diamond function allowing people to become a new smiley, but Chris was too lazy to do something like that.

The look of the trophy will change before the end per Chris's request since he wanted it to be more Halloween themed. I will keep everyone posted on how that goes.
